The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

My chat with support via app:
I have some great news! You can place the order for the new line online, with us here in Care, at any of our T-Mobile stores or even somewhere like our kiosk inside Costco to get this deal!

As soon as the line is activated, it will immediately be set up under the free line deal, and you'll receive a confirmation text message about this as well.

the only thing we'll need to get for the new line is a SIM card. these are available to purchase for $10 or if you have an extra at home, we can use this instead!

Regarding buying a phone for the new line:
We do have a few deals that are not compatible with the free line promotion.

Some deals that are compatible with the free line of service includes a buy one, get one free deal for the LG Wing and LG Velvet devices. Plus, 50% off the new Google Pixel 4a 5G, 50% off a Galaxy A71 or A51 devices, 50% off a new iPhone SE, and 50% off the OnePlus 8!
Hope that helps some folks. I'm off to Costco to BYOD and hopefully get a free SIM card.

Thanks for sharing - so is it do the Costco promotion or the phone one - right?

I don't have a BYOD to take to Costco - can they just give me the sim card without me inserting it into a phone.

Tforce making me buy a sim card. If I say I already have one they are asking for the number. Is this the case with anyone else?
Yes. Either buy new SIM card OR provide them the sim# of the card you have.

That figures. Just in case anyone is wondering, here's a list of carriers that DON'T qualify for the $100 port-in promo:
  • Boos Mobile
  • Consumer Cellular
  • Google Fi
  • DISH
  • i-Wireless
  • Kajeet & Kajeet IOT
  • LycaMobile Plus
  • Plintron
  • Republic Wireless
  • Simple Mobile (TracFone)
  • PWG
  • Tracfone
  • Walmart Family Mobile
  • Ultra
I think you can add Mint mobile to that list

For those of you who got the free line today, what does the line says? Did it say 2020 line on us 3rd? What's gonnna happened if I already have 2020 line on us 3rd? One of my free lines shows as 2020 line onbus 3rd so I wonder what will the new free line will say.

http://www.mypromochoice.com/

Of course nothing is free in the US. They clearly stated that the free line promotion will be applied after 3 billing cycles, so you have to pay for the first 3 months. In addition, most people having issue because they never read the terms and conditions carefully.
Weird. I never had this issue. I just got my third and mine have credited correctly since day one.

AFAIK, No, T-Mobile will not port from one account to another and give you a promo. It's just a change of responsibility.

This is what I was told by T-Mobile app chat in regards to combining T-Mobile 100 port in and pixel4 stacking .promos

** as per checking I am afraid that it's not stackable with the free line offer as it was listed here that credits cannot be combined under a one line so I am afraid that promotion will be remove if we try to have the 2 promotion under 1 line.**

I just finished my chat with T-Mobile.
I got the free line (I now have 3 free lines) and got deal for the iPhone SE for 50% off for adding a new line.

iPhone SE 128gb cost is $8.33 / month x 24 months = $199.92

I paid total today of $99.66

Breakdown
$49.99 down payment
$10 for the sim card
$39.67 taxes on the device
The rep waived the $20 support fee Smilie

FYI, actual cost of the iPhone SE
iPhone SE 64gb = $399.99
iPhone SE 128GB = $449.99
Chat over the phone 611? Or via twitter? Or somewhere else?

I already submitted the Costco rebate without the port in, should I port in now and resubmit the Costco again and TMobile rebate tomorrow? If anyone have done this successfully in the past please let me know. Thank you
You should've ported in before submitting the Costco rebate because the port-in number will replace the number that comes with the new free line and then the Costco rebate won't be able to verify your new line since it will only see the port-in number on the new line, not the number that you submitted in the Costco rebate.

I was able to get the 50% off and new line, but I don't know about the rebate part.

Where can I see the terms and condition in getting the free line? Will there be an issue if I canceled a line? Can I cancel a line before getting the free line? If not, can I cancel a line after getting the free line? If so, how long do I need to wait in order to cancel a line?
