The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

How to unlock GV number and how to get the pin for that? Also can we buy those $20 phones from Walmart and then port that number?
1)To Set my GV PIN, use a desktop/laptop web browser, and go here: https://voice.google.com/settings

Click the three vertical dots on the left side menu, scroll down and click "Legacy Google Voice". On the Legacy page, click the gear icon in the upper right corner. Click "Settings". On the Settings page, click the Voicemail & Text tab. Enter whatever PIN you wish, twice, and save the setting. You're done.

2)Be sure that you have unlocked your number before attempting to port it out. See:

I was able to get BOGO offer on Pro MAX

1) I am an existing customer with 3 lines ( Third line was a free line added last time they gave for free)
Called today and asked for upgrade options
CSR : mentioned that if I would like to add a line than I will be eligible for BOGO
I Said --- Let's cancel the third line I have and you can add a new line ( Free)
CRS.... yes that's do able
canceled the third line and added a new line ( $10 for new SIM)
Ordered 2 new phones- agreement for 30 Months bill credit
just paid taxes... $130+ Sim
Now I can sell my iPhone 11 on 3rd party site for a chunk...which mitigates my $35

Hoping I got a deal Smilie
Why would you cancel the third free line, didn't seem to have a bearing on the deal and you would have had two free lines? But I'm surprised that they approved the BOGO... was that with trade in or not?

10 easy steps for anyone wanting to do the Costco deal:

1) Make sure you have your BYOD phone with you as the IMEI will be needed. T&C states that you MUST use this device on new number for 3 billing cycles.
2) Visit Costco and locate membership wireless kiosk
3) Have your Costco membership card ready as it is needed during the process.
4) Tell them you are adding a new line, no other details are needed. If you are porting in a number, you will have to provide the phone number, account and PIN for the number you are porting in.
5) If your plan qualifies, they will be able to add a new line after verifying last 4 of your social and in some cases call in Tmobile for approval.
6) If you have a dual factor authentication set on account, the primary account holder will get a text message with a PIN which will be needed to complete the transaction.
7) Once this is complete, you will need to sign and date some forms to acknowledge the deal terms
8) Lastly you will be given SIM card and a copy of the paperwork confirming your new number/port.
9) Port may take a few days, so you can wait and then file for the $200 Costco promo using the directions provided on the paperwork.
10) You can then file the Tmobile promo for $100 port in new line deal.

My Costco rep knew about this deal and was knowledgeable. Hopefully my account and plans remain unchanged, time will tell.

This is annoyingly confusing. Expert phone rep said the s20 fe $99 promo is stackable with free line.
Not stackable. Trust OP. I called and got 2 US based agents and they confirmed that $99fe deal does not work. You can get the Pixel however if you have an eligible trade-in.

YMMV, but typically no. The system does device IMEI to plan checks pretty frequently, combined with network activity analytics to match plan types and know devices. A MiFi device with voice plan SIM might work initially, but typically gets detected and blocked quickly.

Followed the same exact steps. Although my costco had a huge line (took me 2 hours). I also realized that you cannot add the free pixel or any other line because in order for costco to process the Rebate, your phone line will need to be active in that IMEI. I am still debating if I should just get the phone and wait to switch it and delay the sending of the trade-in
