Well, this will get buried since this thread is up around 100 pages now, but if anyone finds this and ended up getting the line and ordering a new SIM through chat, this might ease some anxiety.

The chat rep said the new line would be added, but I didn't see anything for a few hours (7-8?). I did get an email with the order confirmation showing the charges, but it said that the SIM would ship between the 25th and 30th. I assumed that I wouldn't see the line in my account until the SIM shipped.

Anyway, when I just checked my account, I see a new line and number on my account, and no increase in monthly cost. I don't know where to see if the promo was applied, but I figure it must have been since my cost remains the same.

Now I feel better that I received the free line, and I'm not going to have to cancel this.

i tried adding a line in costco but it says my account is Flexpay so the rep couldn't add line. Funny thing is my account wasn't because I was able to add 2 lines at Costco 2 months ago in September. Rep called t-mobile and t-mobile said they'll add line for me but that means t-mobile gets the sale and will charge me $30 for sim and support and I can't get the costco gift card.
Is there any way to fix this?
How is it my account goes from normal to Flexpay??????
A previous customer in front of me had the same problem and after 30 minutes of trying and calling tmobile, he was rescheduled for another day with the promise he would still have the $200 card. I got mine done in 10 minutes

LOL same thing happeend to me and another guy ahead of me. hes been there for 3 hrs! the total time I spent there was also about the same with me going back n forth to get a sim card. because apparently this costco doesnt sell sim cards by itself. he was pissed. i was pissed. he got the costco manager involved. he and i both ended up receiving the rebate form (me without adding a line yet!) imma add a new line at home then do the rebate. the rebate form has the tmobile kiosk info that u need to input into their rebate site.

You can do it online, it's always gonna show the charge because it's a credit on the account each billing month.
How would the system know it's a free line vs. an ordinary line after doing it online?

Same thing happened me. Costco rep called customer care and was able to get the line added. Costco rep said I will still get the $200, but I'm not so sure because Tmobile rep added the line over the phone.

Rep said costco system have to generate the sales for the $200 gift card to be valid. if t-mobile add the line, costco would lose the sale and i'd lose the $200 gift card.

Just very strange that out of nowhere my account turns into Flexpay.
