The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

I'm assuming that is with the Insider Hook Up discount. If so that plan can only have a max of 3 lines. If you started with 2 then thats why you are allow to add a line.

It will show up on your account when the they are about to ship the sim card. For there to be a number a sim card will have to be scanned. After scan they will ship it.

This is what my email receipt shows just for the new SIM card. I am on the Magenta plan (non military). I'm not sure why there are so many extra line items. Does anyone else see this on their receipt?

Long story short, I and my friend left cost after we added the lines and I checked my account after an hour and boom 2020 line on us 3, both our accounts showed.
If you have time, print account discount page and give it to him when you pass by Costco.

It matters because T-Mobile sets the rules. In order to keep the free line free, you must keep a minimum of 2 paid lines at all times. If you have more than 2 paid lines, you must wait 12 months after adding the free line before you cancel one of your paid lines. If you don't wait at least 12 months before cancelling a line, you lose the free line promotion and this line becomes a paid line.

The rep I spoke to said I can do an add a line promo and it does stack with 950 off iphone 12pro with trade in. Is she wrong and I'm gonna get screwed on it?

I do have 4 other mines that can upgrade. so maybe the trade in is being upgraded on a diff line? I did it with the oneplus8 a few months back and it did stack without messing with anything
