The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

How much money do Wireless Advocate make by helping costco members to get service and phone with all the big rebate and discount? No one know. Beside setting kiosk in the store doing service for major carrier not MVNO of it own.
Then few of the member who shown up already have a plan to get the Rebate, cancel the line later on after claim the rebate. Soon we will not be a able to see this kind of offering anymore.
Like few of member buy things from Costco and return it after finish their purpose. There are certain rules but do not abusing them then we all will see it disappear.

Yes. I added a free line over the phone with T-Mob rep. I already had a spare SIM. So I activated that SIM on this free line. It's been 15 hours, but still no free promo for that line on the account. I have two free lines.. one for the 3rd line free and other for the free line on us from September. I have Magenta for Business plan. I will call them again today. Why discount shows up quickly for some, whereas for others it takes more time or doesn't show up at all. I hope I don't lose the free line from Sept if I cancel this new line if it doesn't turn out to be free.

For those wondering how long it takes for the "2020 Line On Us 3" to show up on your account.
I called in yesterday around 10AM, after not being able to AAL myself online.
Still had a spare SIM, and because I told her I tried online and wasn't able to, the $20 support fee was waived, so it was completely free for me.
Additional line showed up pretty much immediately, but the discount did NOT (bill amount increased).
Kept checking throughout the day, still nothing.
This morning, checked again, and the bill amount is back to what is was previously, and the discount is now listed. 😁

Something similar happened to me as well... was on Tmobile One, but now I suddenly find myself on Magenta, with a base price from $205 (200 for 6 lines plus 5 netflix) to $227 (220 for 7 lines and 7 netflix). I don't see "Line On Us" anywhere in the promotions section of my plan.... Looks like they messed this up.

What are the chances I can get my old plan back? I think I'm losing out on Kickback with Magenta right? Though I do gain 3GB of hotspot. I regularly get $30 in kickback each month, so honestly without it, I'm essentially paying for the new line. Frown

Any suggestions?

I have one of the eligible plans but when I try to do online, I see a monthly of $20 (in addition to the SIM fee) and no message of free line. Does that happen afterwards automatically or I need to call? And does it matter if it's phone or BYOD tablet plan? Thanks!

Planning on taking advantage of this in conjunction with the free Pixel 4a 5G trade in offer and the $100 port in rebate using a number from Google Voice. Might be tempted to try for the $200 from Costco as well, but probably will avoid the crowds instead.

Would appreciate it if anyone can confirm they have done this - free line, free Pixel 4a 5G, and $100 port in rebate via GV.

Costco is running a $300 gift card promotion for new lines/upgrades starting today, does this promotion usually include BYOD new lines? I read the terms and still can't tell. Thanks in advance for your help.

No go for me. I'm on Tmo One All In plan - 2 paid lines + 3rd line free on previous promo. They are saying my plan isn't eligible - FZLTUL2LP - $100 per month
Ever since I got the 3rd line free years ago I haven't been eligible to add anything else to this plan
