I was able to get the free line, so I'm waiting for the SIM to arrive so that I can port in a number and get the rebate. However, I may want to bring in a different number (they are not sure if they want to use TMO) down the road. Am I able to port a different number into the free line without losing the free line? If so, is it just like another port? Is there a minimum time before I can do that (90 days, 1 year, etc.)? I think I've seen people reference a "port over" or something, but I'm unclear on how that works.

"Since you have an older Simple Choice plan that is "retired" any new lines can only add on the available data features and the 2gb data add on is now retired so that's why it's only letting you add the paid $15 version. I'd be glad to take a look if it gives me the option on my side but I can't guarantee that it will."
Will update once I hear from them again.

If you pay for 2 lines, how many free lines can you add, provided this promotion shows up again in 2021?
Is it you pay for 2, you get 2 free?
If you pay for 3, you can get 3 free?
And can I port in number online by myself?
Kind of ridiculous, but they can't just transfer over an old plan to someone else. They have to 'transfer' everyone to a plan that you can sign up for right now.
