I'm waiting comments from SD community about if this is worth the investment or ...
We all no real Photoshop involves a lot of trial and error "guess work" (see end of the descriptions below), and that's what makes it fun and creative.
So maybe this is just a fancy phot modifier, and not REAL Photoshop?

Like others have said, get affinity photo (like photoshop for photo editing) and design (like illustrator for vector work) if you have any understanding of image software (or want to learn) for 70 (35 each on sale right now).
If you rarely do editing and just want the software to give you easy ways to fix stuff and add filters, Adobe versions are a good value.
Both work well, but Affinity blows Adobe out of the water from a value and feature set perspective. It's the equivalent of, or arguably superior to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, but a one time payment vs. 20+ a month.
On a side note, for Premiere, an excellent (free) alternative is Da Vinci Resolve which is used professionally. I have it and it's as good or superior to Premiere.

Looking for advice from the SD'ers. How is the Photoshop Elements for organizing photos and how is the performance, i.e. does it lag at all? Also, is the Premiere Elements any good in stabilizing shaky videos?

And it's on sale for $34.99 now
Yeah, that was mentioned in my post. Really spectacular deal. Even a great deal at the normal 50.
How much of a learning curve it is for affinity photo if I am coming from using Adobe Lightroom for all my editing?
I'd say you will have no problem if you've worked in lightroom and affinity photo would be a far better match to you than Adobe Photoshop elements.
