Experience greater power, range, and speed. With an internal and external lithium ion battery, ES4-800 has a top speed of nearly 15.5 mph and a range of up to 28 miles. The bar for high-performance e-scooters has been raised.

you were able to fully update the firmware without issue ?
No, I was referring to just pairing with the app, most can get to the part, but no one seems to have been able to update their FW successfully so far.

You're the first to have successfully updated it on this thread.

Does anyone know what the different colors on the stop and go switch means? I have a red stop and a black go and I also have the Bluetooth capability. Maybe the colors correspond to that since I've seen a blue switch on other pictures.

I have 2 scooters with both sets of colors, but I'm not able to connect to either of them with any device I have, including Android and iOS.

If HappyManatee197 is telling the truth, then it is possible without the stock dash and controller board. I've read those old threads too on other forums but it seems like those applied to ones that may have been stolen or auctioned off without Bird renewing them to sell.

Update: I bought 2 scooters. The first one updated no problem. The 2nd just arrived and I was charging it before connecting to my app. After reading everyone else having problems, I connected the 2nd to my app and tried to update, but this one had a much larger update V1.6.2 which failed to download(Update paused at 47%). I'm thinking maybe the first unit I got was produced after this firmware and already had it flashed in? I'm in the same boat with you guys on my 2nd unit. Is it worth it to change out the control board or will this cause more issues?

Now that makes more sense, mine also fails at 47% and tries to update to the same FW. What FW update did your 1st one have available?

I'm sending off my dashboard for flashing for $20. Will report once I get it back. I REALLY want to use the features from the Ninebot app (20mph, Control undercarriage light color, security, mileage and battery stats).

The also offer speed controller board flashing, which I'm unsure these need.

I bought a few at $300 and thought it was a great deal. $200 is a STEAL! Not much more than a Huffy! Smilie

Does your 1st unit able to use the full app functionality? Setting speed, different lights, cruise control, etc?

The first one's firmware updates were quick, related to battery life only. This one I noticed the master control update was new and talked about a brake fix which is what seems to cause failure to update.
