I would assume the Bird one is similar. Not that many screws, but I remember two were behind the reflective stickers.

I have an SUV. If I unfold one of the back chairs, it would fit just fine.

Same base, but each company has their own "tweaks." The Bird one is actually easier to assemble/disassemble. There's only 4 security torx bolts with nothing covering them and it mounts onto the stem, not part of the board like the Lime one.

Not sure about the protection plan. They are not going to fix it, just (hopefully) reimburse the $199. Will we have to lug it to a shipper to ship it them? And even if the battery fails, are they really going to cover batteries? seems like batteries are usually excluded in these. Final point, even if something fails, this is a $500 scooter, can likely get most of what you paid on craigslist, or might be worth fixing yourself.

Actually, looking at that video you quoted, it just seems like Bird and Lime have different ways of packaging them. Bird packages it so the stem is alone, while the base/board has both wheels connected. I see that the bolts I mentioned are also on the Lime scooter.

I do know that certain electronic components may differ slightly though.

If you click what's covered, it's a pretty good warranty, it includes all mechanical/electrical defects and normal wear & tear items. I've never used one I purchased through Walmart, but this one is covered by Allstate.

No, because there are individuals (including myself) that have bluetooth working. Also, others have said it connects to other third party apps, but not the Segway, so bluetooth is indeed working.

There are at least 10-15 of us with no BT (icon only shows for the first second of boot up then disappears). Perhaps there are different shops that do the renew/refurb a bit differently. Strange that so many would have a non-functional BT. Perhaps the firmware version is different on these scooters (hard to tell without BT)

Yes, I'm aware of that, my point was that it wasn't deliberately done as part of the refurbishing process. Also, I contacted Bird to see if I could get help with the update failing, they redirected me to licus.com and told me they're the company that services these scooters. Did you try connecting it to another app? Mattuni2001 can't connect to the official Segway app, but can connect to others. They have the same issue as you, BT icon shows briefly, then disappears.

Only have iOS, so won't be able to use the android nine-dash app. In fact, not sure I even know someone with android .... haha

Mine won't connect either to my iPhone. I wonder whether this is related to the iOS - probably not - otherwise it would have been noticed.
