I have the 7.5 holiday living tree which I bought last year. It is beautiful for sure, and easy to set up, but when I got it out this year, about 35 lights didn't turn on immediately. Then those 35 started flickering on and off for a couple of days before it seems like they are fairly solidly on now. Obviously I'm worried this tree will not last another year.

I'd go to the store to check it out first if it's on display. I wasn't very impressed but it depends on your expectations.
sorry, i confused this with the $79 tree from home depot. but i'd still recommend going to the store and checking it out instead of getting it home and setting it up only to be disappointed and putting it back in the box.

We had one where the lights died after a couple of years. Grabbed a set of wire cutters and ripped out the built in lights, added a $10 string of LED's and used it for another 5 years Smilie

I've done this before as well. It did take a good hour or more to cut out all those built in lights, they put a lot of green zip-ties on those buggers!

I agree that this tree is not very impressive in person. Very thin, shiny looking needles.

What do we think about these trees vs. The Walmart tree for $68?

The Q&A on the listing page states each needs to be plugged in, so no batteries.

Do you want 350 pre lit lights (walmart) or 700 pre lit lights (lowes)?

Essentially for about $11 dollars more....I'd go with the 700 pre lit lights.

the lights are different tho, one is the fairy micro ones and the other the original, easier to replace i guess?

I would go with this tree of your around the 200 range.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Holiday-...5000200333

I went into the store and this one was hands down much better than either one of the ones in this thread albeit a little more expensive than the 158 dollar one. Don't bother with that one. It looks bare.

Just purchased today and setup today. More sparse than my last artificial tree, but probably only took me 15 minutes to setup. Fingers crossed it lasts!

Did you get the Holiday Living 7.5' model? If so, any chance the box says how much the tree weighs?

I got that exact one. Unfortunately there's no weight listed. It was very easy to carry and assemble if that's helpful.

Thanks. I have a really bad back so have to be extra careful about lifting. Maybe someone else who got it shipped can chime in with how much it weighs.
