It's not really correct. Foxconn acquired Sharp in 2016 and Foxconn is a Taiwan company, not China, two different countries. Sharp TV may mainly made in China but once Wisconsin panel factory starts to run smoothly, it has the chance panel will be from the states.

huh...did not know that Sharp is still making TV!!! I have a Sharp Aquos TV that I am using for a long time (was higher end model at that time). I thought Sharp was bought by Hisense.....

They didn't say it was a Chinese company, just that it was a Chinese TV. It's most likely made in China, where they have their offices doesn't really matter.

Not any more. Hisense no longer makes TVs for Sharp. That deal ended in 2019. Sharp is making these on their own again.
