My experience with backlit keyboards is they wash out on white or silver laptops due to the screen reflecting off of the keys. Opt for the Fog Blue to minimize.

Add TOUCH, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD -- The configuration comes to 609, Apply coupon SMBHOL10 to bring down the total to $548.

Coupon SMBHOL10 works for $599 or more.

Paypal Chase offer gives 5% cashback too !!

Wow $400 for Ryzen 7 4700U + FHD screen + WiFi 6 (just $10 for the WiFi upgrade, so why not futureproof it), it's gotta be one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest ever for that combo.

A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

Maybe in a 12, the 4 might usually is soldered, but the 8 wouldn't be. But in an 8, both 4s are soldered? Although cheap, that would be a deal breaker.
Go ahead and upgrade at order for $40 and should be good for life of computer.

I guess you can't cancel this order? Damn. I bought 32 GB of ram for $80 and can't use it here. Gonna stick with the Dell.

On page 33 and 34, it shows the memory module part numbers and how to upgrade the memory modules.
Is that for this exact laptop though? HP sending mixed signals re: ram. If soldered, not as future proof for many people. If upgradable, is best laptop deal this BF!

Envy supposedly weighs 4.5 Lbs. I wonder if using it in x360 tablet mode is even feasible unless you lift Wink
Envy has a much better battery life (~55Whr vs ~41Whr on this one).
Anyways, thanks OP. In for this 1.
It is more for tablet on lap usage with touchscreen and pen Smilie, occasionally. I read envy is better quality than pavilion in SD. Never had HP before. Had a Sony, Lenovo and Dell before.

Not from the get go but I get what you're saying
Even before cashback. For $20 extra better cpu (probably worth $90-100 alone), better network card, backlit keyboard (usually worth 20-30).

I think the value here is that much upgrades for only $20.

If you got the walmart one and dont need a laptop immediately, i would strongly suggest return and get this. For $20 difference dont keep that one. You get alot for your $20.

The manual seems to be for the models : 15-cw1000 - 15-cw1999, so not this specific one. Support also told me the RAM is not upgradeable later on, and soldered, even though I have a hard time believing it.
It would be good to get the real manual.

I got that one as well. Dell has better battery life than this one. I feel it's build quality is also better.
Net after 12% cashback and 5% CC cash backs on both its $500 vs $360 (inc tax)
