It's a all about charging speed. The higher the amps, the faster the charging speed. The smallest (1) will work on any size battery, just take longer than the (5)
think i will go with the 2 amp
I ended up buying the Viking 4A charger from harbor freight for like $28 and I like it. I have a car that I don't drive very much that has a parasitic drain that I charge every 3 weeks or so. Even at 4 amps it still takes like 6-7 hours or so. I charge it with the battery still connected to the car, which the cheap Chinese chargers explicitly discourage.

Charging it at lower voltage is actually better for the battery, but I'm talking about avoiding 50 amps or so unless you need it immediately. I had to buy a new battery this summer cuz I asked the guy at Advance Auto to do a quick 1 hour charge on my 4 year old battery and it killed it. Went from testing "Good" with about 300 CCA to "Bad" with about 200 CCA in that hour.
