Can someone describe a use case for having 3 smart plugs on the same outlet?
I use something like this in my bedroom to control a couple of lamps and a white noise machine.

Cool wifi feature for seamless control but pointless unless it offers surge protection for any expensive products you attach to this.

Looking at the alexa skill description it can't control each of the three smart sockets individually?

Does it just show as one device?

Pretty cool, but i need something with surge protector
It turns off if there's an outage, I think that counts as protection

The whole unit can do 16A total, which is more than enough for you to run a couple small kitchen appliances on a schedule. But that just seems silly.
Lights could be one - multiple table lamps, for example, or a set of Christmas lights / or tree / other decor located together. Also for those working from home, perhaps a fan + lamp + panini press (no need to ever leave the room).

Wish it was a surge protector. After a recent issue I starting using surge protectors
Maybe attach this product over a surge protector. Pointless product without the surge protection.

Can only be used once on my account. Nice deal.
I set the quantity to 2 and it still worked. (2*2 = 4 total)

I have a few of those. It does show 3 individual devices, and can also turn on/off all 3 together.

Yeah what's the use senario for these?
There are many use cases you might need multiple smart outlets on the same socket for. Especially since these record energy usage.

Tv, stereo, game system.
All game systems.
PC and monitors.
Lights, such as lamps, or holiday lighting.
Coffee maker, rice cooker, crock pot. Etc, etc.

I personally have 4 individual smart outlets on the same surge protector.
1. PC
2. Power strip with my monitors and lights for the desk.
3. VR headset (valve index)
4. VR base station.

There is no defined "use case", just what the individual user may want to do with it.

EDIT: The last photo on the Amazon page states that it does not Google does not support individual control, but several people have told me this is incorrect and that it works for them.

I got whole house surge protectors at my electric panel, never thought about that. I think you should be fine.
