Saving your trip. Only exterior is stainless steel. Not the inside
What. Of course it is, you want non stick internal.
On the more expensive Phillips ones, the bottom of the basket is stainless steel and snaps off for washing. Go look through reviews of many of the "Chinesium" fryers on Amazon. One of the biggest issues is the teflon coating flaking off pretty shortly after use, making it questionably unsafe for eating. So if you want something that lasts and is safe, stainless steel basket. I had 2 of these cheapie fryers that had that peeling problem and finally bit the bullet on expensive Phillips.

I would buy this one if I didn't get Walmart's 8-qt fryer. This one seems to have mechanical dials which should be more reliable.

I got this the last time it was this price. It cooks a good amount of different foods pretty quickly. Chicken wingettes (about 10) and chicken drumsticks (about 6) in one layer fits pretty well. I haven't tried filling to the max line yet but it tends to dry out the drumsticks and thighs lately. The screws inside started loosening up after a couple weeks but I just tighten them back and haven't had any issues. This is a pretty good buy if this is your first air fryer and want to test out air frying before getting a bigger one.

Ikr...I'm wondering why anyone would want the inside of this to be SS.

Anyone have a good recipe for carrot fries with an air fryer? I'm trying to make them crispy using very little oil to keep the calories down where these are still "healthy" to eat.. no matter what I do, the outsides burn before it becomes crispy.. it ends up being just a limp burnt piece of carrot. Im cutting them as uniform as possible, about 1/4th inch wide sticks

The last Bella airfryer I bought off slickdeals from Target broke... the analog timer dials would no longer tick appropriately they just spun back to 0 immediately after turning them. I highly suggest buying a digital air fryer preferably with a removable basket. You can spend $10 and get an Emerald off Best Buy or even an insignia. Do not get Bella air fryers.

The nonstick coating on the oil catch bottom has mostly flaked off after a month of daily use. The nonstick on the tray is still intact but not really nonstick as when new - food comes off but needs some coaxing. Granted, mine gets heavy use about 2-3 times a day. I still use it though but have to coat the bottom with oil to avoid rust.
