I also recently had the opportunity to compare SACS9 with Polk PSW10, and notably Polk PSW10 > SACS9, which echoed the review [youtube.com]here.
Finally, I also tested SSCS8 against JBL Studio 520C, and 520C > SSCS8. I am waiting for my Infinity RC263 to compare against.
Sony isn't too bad, but if you just have a little more budget to spend for budget speakers (when they're on sale of course! like the previous Infinity sale), you can really get much better sound.
I do recommend checking out the above tests and reviews. These data are pretty accurate because I can hear those differences across these speakers. The usual "listening test" on youtube by just playing some music isn't real sound test at all! Because they haven't done any true sound range testing and get proper setup. The reviews above reference more accurate sound test and they will resonate more with real experiences.

Well from what i gathered these will need a Sub and that the Sony Core sub is no good to get something else.
Some people say that the bookshelf speaker sound better then the tower .
So if you only need a pair get the bookshelf and a decent sub.

Rc263 of course it will be better. The sound is richer and more capacious
Thank you, repped
I rather like Yamaha, and you can often find last year's model for 1/2 off.
The Sony 7.1.2 receiver (STR-DN1080) is good too - slightly more expensive, but better auto-EQ and room calibration, if those are important for you.
For movies, get the bookshelves and pair them with a good sub - I like Hsu Research, SVS, and Outlaw Audio.
The total cost for this projector room was $1200. Other significant costs; Epson 1060 projector $250, Roku Ultra ($50), Modded Wii U ($80), DIY 96" screen (Carl's Place Flex White material, $80), and Chromecast 2 ($30).
