I picked up the original Debut B6's three years ago for $249(pair)...then got the 2.0 6.2's two years ago for $149 (pair). Been very happy with both sets for the price/value.

Edit: B6s were from ebay (new), and B6 2.0 from Best Buy

I'm definitely no audiophile. When I first played this one(after having the 1st gen for about a year) first thing I noticed/felt was that the 1st gen had a "wider" -- not sure of the right word -- sound stage. With the 1st gen, if I closed my eyes I'd have a harder time placing where the speakers were. I don't know if that makes sense. These aren't bad at all in that respect...just something I noticed. I felt the bass was a little "tighter" than the 1st gen. Must be the front port vs back port. I like booming bass but I have a sub so doesn't really matter so much.

Also, these are taller and narrower than the 1st gens.

I got a pair of r162 at 159, and a pair of arena 170 at the same price. I think they sound at the same quality level and I am pretty happy but always think there are better sounds. How is B6.2 compare with these 2?

Compared to the much bigger discounts we've seen over the last few years, the 2020 holiday pricing for the Debut's has underwhelming for sure. Having said that, these are still tremendous values when compared to other speakers in this price range. In the $200 to $250 ish price range, the B5.2 and B6.2 are one of the best (if not the best) values.

The F6.2s were $$229 ea at Best Buy about a month ago, if you're looking at prices. I wasn't impressed by them and returned them.
