Have had these speakers for around 10 years. Moved around with me in college and I shipped them home after. Still using them to this day after being dropped and abused and they're still awesome
I'm not an audiophile but from my layman's perspective I would not consider these suitable for a studio monitor. I do think they are a great speaker set for music listening but I'm sure the response is not totally flat.
Yes. The same ones. This is a great deal. Thumbs up. I own a set of these and the Bluetooth version. The Bluetooth component failed after about a year but the speakers are great in both cases especially at this price.
Edit: As a side note the Bluetooth integration is not worth your time in my opinion. It has no button to press or anything so any random person in range can connect and start playing music on your speakers. So I'd recommend this non-bluetooth model.

Do these produce a NEUTRAL sound response for monitoring / mixing / production?
Or do they produce ENHANCED sound for regular consumer listening?

Jump on these. Lowest price I can remember in ages. Even used models aren't much less. You can buy a Bluetooth adapter for $10 on eBay. These have a house curve sound to them and will fill a large room. Signature Klipsch sibilant horn tweeter. Great deal.
These are quite good speakers--I've had mine for a few years and bought them 2nd hand off ebay for $120 when there were none to be had. They get louder than you'd probably ever need, sub output is also formidable. If all you need is 2.1ch, I don't think you could go wrong here.
The volume/bass control on the 2nd speaker slides off, so I took some Dual Lock and stuck it to the bottom of my desk for easy access to the headphone jack and knobs. The satellite speakers are also mount-compatible if you want to use speaker stands instead of the feet.

Im surprised that no one bought this up.
I purchased the speakers from Costco for the same price. It sounds great. You can control the bass and volume on the speaker. The only issue is that there is NO on and off switch. With that being said, there is a small bright white light on the speaker and the electricity is always on. You can however, take a permanent marker and dot the white light so its not so bright and you can add a on/off switch adapter.
I just picked up a. Pair of these they were néw in box but still like 4-5 years old for $60 second hand last night. I would have probably got these new had I know. Still great sounding desktop speakers.
