    • "Good product for household use. The hose is 26' long and 1/4" diameter. Be aware of the length before purchasing. I have mine connected to a 6-gallon compressor and mounted to my workbench. It works well for filling tires, cleaning out filters, etc, (normal household use). I wouldn't purchase this if I needed more than 26' of hose and had to run heavy air tools (not its intended use). The unit comes with mounting screws and also swivels side to side. Don't forget to purchase a female quick connect for the tool end, and a male connector for the compressor end."

PVC hoses are especially terrible under 60 degrees. I will never buy another again. Stick to rubber or hybrid hoses.

All of the Goodyear 3/8" rubber hoses we have use 1/4" fittings.... In fact, I have never seen a 3/8" air hose that was not 1/4" fittings.

The 26 foot hose is a little on the short side, but specs say 3/8" hose, so that's decent. Never been a fan of PVC air hoses. Although looking closely at the images in the product description it appears to be reinforced. I'll give it a try.

I'd read the reviews for this, they say it's not 3/8 but 1/4 which is useless.

If the retractable part is decent, it would be great for a workbench..... the commonly used coiled PVC hoses are all 1/4" ..... Personally, I would like to look at it before purchase to see how easy or difficult it would be to replace the hose when it goes bad.

I have one ordered for pick up. I will follow this conversation. I've been looking for something like this but now I think that 25 feet is barely going to make it across the garage from the compressor.

Ordered, hoping to make my air compressor I carry to air up from off-roading a little more neat and easy than the craptastic plastic coil hose it came with.

I picked up a couple of these on my way home tonight. Definitely 1/4-inch hose.

Theoretical maximum CFM through a 1/4" hose is over 10. 13 and change actually. More than sufficient for most common pneumatic tools. Probably not suitable for many industrial applications, but perfectly adequate for anything you would be connecting to a 26-foot hose on this reel. Definitely adequate for nailers, staplers, all but the biggest impact wrenches, etc.

I bought this one 2 years ago and had no problems at all. I would recommend it as it comes with a rubber hose too. I keep a spare 50 ft Goodyear hose around and attach for longer reaches. It goes on sale plus on New Year's Day they put out a 25% off coupon good for that day only.
