Not true. Just reach out to @tmobilehelp on Twitter via DM with the imei and they'll unlock it for you. I just did it last week. No special approach required. The unlock was successful in 8 hours.

So after unlocking, can this phone be used on all carriers? Or says there still limitations, like can't work on cdma network like Verizon or don't have all band for at &t etc? Thanks!
