Not true. Just reach out to @tmobilehelp on Twitter via DM with the imei and they'll unlock it for you. I just did it last week. No special approach required. The unlock was successful in 8 hours.

This deal is a scam Samsung will claim any reason to not give you trade in credit I'm filing lawsuits with Samsung they are incredibly shady company. Be aware they will rip you off!

edit: nm, website is just stupid to use. on the add-ons page, you have to click the "Skip add-ons" at the very very bottom to add it to cart. it's white and doesn't look like a button at all

Yes, just pop in mint sim and it'll be good to go. Just got mine and no issues (you might have to wait a day for texting to start working 100% though, but it happens even on unlocked phones with mint )

Don't they have a smaller phone? My wife has an s9 and wants to upgrade but 6.7in screen is too big. She has tiny hands and coming from an s9 is a massive size difference
