Good combo for car enthusiasts with Ryobi ecosystem
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../314003908

Impact Wrench 220 ft./lbs - enough to turn heads, I mean lug nuts
Ratchet 35 ft.lbs - helpful assistance after nut busting loose

Impact Wrench Torque Correction: 150 ft-lbs and if the lug nuts are torqued under. Most cars and some trucks (utility) not the 18 wheelers!

You use an impact wrench for driving all your fasteners? It sounds like you're talking about an impact driver, which is a totally different tool....
It's a good deal but the wrench is the older non-HP one though.
A ratchet doesn't need much torque. The tool is designed to push or pull like you would with a regular non-powered ratchet wrench to loosen the fastener and then squeeze the trigger to zip it the rest of the way off. It's not a necessary tool, but a huge time saver.

I have the ratchet and I like it. The rotating head is a nice feature. I would wait for the new impact coming out though, I think it is the P262.

Homedepot P263 by itself shows 220 ft.lbs everywhere. Maybe Home Depot pushed the needle in their test Wink

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../308182766
In the Q&A section, Home Depot verified it to be 150 ft-lbs

"Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot.

The 18-Volt ONE+ Cordless 3/8 in. 3-Speed Impact Wrench (Tool Only), Internet #308182766, Model #P263, Store SKU #1004060875, produces 150 ft/lbs. of peek Torque. This has been confirm through the Use and Care Manual link provided on this page. We apologize for the typo.

We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future."

I agree with fotonorm, Ryobi link shows the correct torque of 150 ft-lbs

So is there any serious/common non-mechanic use for these? Just tightened some nuts for a roof rack with my brushed Ryobi drill and a socket adapter after Christmas. Worked fine and I adjusted torque so I didn't overtighten.

I don't do much with cars (that's my father in laws specialty) so I don't know if there is a use where my existing tools wouldn't be enough. I have an impact as well if I need more oomph than my drill/driver. I am a DIYer/hobbyist than like a semipro something or other. Thoughts? I imagine an impact with the adapter would be sufficient with nuts/bolts when I repair a wooden swing set carpenter bees ruined (pre-drilled holes).

Is there a way to just keep the ratchet? I already have the impact wrench.

I have this ratchet and it is pretty sweet. I used to use my 1/4" hex impact driver with socket adapter but now I just go for the ratchet every time. No adapter needed and the angle suits most nut/bolt locations better than a straight tool. The head rotates to 4 positions which is more neat than useful but will probably be useful for some goofy angle someday. You can loosen a stiffy by turning manually if necessary and then let er rip.

I don't use my impact on anything for my car. I use it for pretty much everything around the house though. Hung a tv on the wall used it to drive 3 inch lag bolts into the stud. I'll use it to build a deck this spring.

If you don't wrench, you don't need this.
