I bought this on black Friday. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. While the specs are nice, the quality of the laptop and especially the touchpad is horrendous! It's fine if you plan to attach a monitor and keyboard etc to it but make sure to set your expectations pretty low on build quality. The top also feels like a very cheap plastic that would break easily.
No, I know you can't go to the wayback machine, but I was able to get a lot more laptop for $459 from them at Black Friday. I'd be patient and wait out a better deal as this is not. I refuse to believe I got a unicorn with a 2X as big HD and 1080P touch. Keep looking if you're not in a rush.

I posted that deal during BF as well. During that time, there was multiple coupons for 5% and 10% which helped. Those are not available now.

Comes from china. Expect to wait forever. I ordered this on black friday and still dont have it. They finally shipped it but the tracking still showes it sitting in china shanghai. It was 399.99 when i ordered it. I dont expect to see it for another month so guess im waiting 2 whole months. They did say they will give me a 50 bucks refund so lets see if they keep their word.
Ordered this on BF and received just before Christmas. Although ok in general, really hated the off center keyboard. I would rather not having the numeric keyboard on the right than the main keyboard shifted to the left. For this type of keyboard arrangement to work, they need to shift
the mouse touchpad too to match the keyboard center. The rubber keys doesn't have a good feel either.
FWIW, there are two sodimm slots and you can mix module capacities. There is only 1 M.2 slot. The speed for the M.2 is subpar for PCIE3, so there is no point to buy high performance NVME. The one came with It is WD SN530.
Screen is ok. Not Sure Why people want to be brighter. High brightness is not good for the eyes.
Overall a decent value at BF price, not Sure I would buy it at the current price.
Edit: Forgot to mention, the Intel AX WIFI option is not that great either! Performance is worse than my several years old Lenovo laptop's AC WIFI or my cell phone.

If i could do it all over again... I purchased 2 of these on BF. One makes a static sound that will drive you nuts, it's like being under high voltage lines. When you plug it into either AC or USB C the sound comes on. Also, good luck getting a hold of anyone at HP to resolve this, its like 2 hours to reach a human, that's if even if you can find the right number and path to them. I had one guy there start installing old software and wasted a good half day. What's not factored into this "deal" is your wasted time. Time on the phone, time with troubleshooting, time mailing back in, time without a laptop, time uninstalling software, reinstalling software, time being frustrated. Seriouisly they should give me the machines for free and pay me $3000 for dealing with their garbage products. What was their QA thinking sending this out this pure junk. If I were able to do a redo and wanted to buy a PC I would just pick something up at Costco on sale that was a quality brand and build, it might not be the greatest "deal", but that way you could get the 4-year warranty and if you have issues you can show up in the store and return.

I second this. Not buying anything from HP.com ever again. The BF deal dinged full $700+ to me right after I clicked "Confirm" (and on the previous final confirmation screen the correct $4xx price was showing). Took hours on the phone and like a dozen emails to get the $300 credit back - still it hasn't been processed yet.
So be extremely cautious if you're planning to give it a shot. There are no free returns and cancellations are painful (to put it politely).
P.S. The machine itself seems decent thus far, so keeping fingers crossed I won't have to deal with their "support" ever again

Yeah it's barely enough. I'm really pissed that I sold my Zenbook for this crap.
