Depending on your level of motivation I'd go to your local Ace. I went by to pick up something last week and all of their lights were 50% off and there was a fair amount left. This is a YMMV, none of it is online

Sounds like maybe a price mistake at your store on the strings of $300. 75% off is the $12.50 as shown in this deal. The 100 light strings are $2.47 on the website as you mention (also 75% off.)

We bought these last year and have used them for two years. They're warm but not nearly as yellow as some of the other HD lights we've had. They're great lights!

Yes, two separate strands of lights, each with 150 lights. You can use them separately.
