Got rejected, have a 780ish credit score. Maybe too many credit card sign ups recently
From what I could find online regarding BofA these are their restrictions for credit cards:

- You can only get approved for 2 new cards in a 30-day period
- You can only get approved for 3 new cards in a 12-month period
- You can only get approved for 4 new cards in a 24-month period

Apparently it only looks at BofA cards. Where as the Chase 5/24 rule looks at any credit card issued to you, regardless of which company issued it to you.

Edit: Adding the 7/12 and 3/12 rules for BofA higher up to this comment.

"7/12 and 3/12 rule"

"According to this rule, customers with a BofA deposit account will not be approved for new cards if they've opened seven cards (across all issuers) in the last 12 months, while customers without a BoA deposit account will be rejected if they've opened three or more cards in the last 12 months."

Add JPMorgan Chase to the list of dishonest banks. They lied about submitting 1st and 2nd draw PPP loans to the SBA for thousands of small businesses. Our business submitted via Chase, who notified us ~3 days after the application that 'we've sent your application to the SBA and are waiting on their approval'. After two weeks of waiting, our business decided to go through a well known Fintech company, where we signed SBA loan docs within 3 days through another lender (i.e. another bank that partners with the Fintech Company). Honesty is hard to come by these days.

Capital one cards are decent, the only card can easily generate the virtual card nowadays....
Loved BoA cards previous "ShopSafe" for virtual cards, the feature gone made me sad.

I was going to get this card until I saw this. Thanks. Can you imagine being the innocent person that the FBI interviewed because of this company?
BoA has sucked in similar ways for years. F em

Yeah, shopesafe was great. BoA canceled a bunch of my credit cards that didn't have high utilization.....not a good bank anymore.

I have a few of these on my account. The rotating categories help fill in the gaps my 5% cards leave depending on the quarter.
Technically if you're a large enough customer, you get 5.25% CB once the actual deposit is made and the 75% bonus is factored in. Not bad for a zero fee card.
Didnt know you can get more than 1

Just closed this card. While it seemed like this was a good deal it got irritating to see purchases not apply for the cash back category I selected when they clearly should have.

I also don't like how they hand over their account user's information and purchases for it to be profiled. No thank you.

I get this offer from BoA in the mail almost weekly. What is the best card to get? I have a Quicksilver, Discover and Amex Blue cashback. Is there anything better out there? The consensus on this one seems to be very mixed at best.

Watch out slickers! Bank of america reports your transactions to authorities guessing what they consider possible crimes as they deem appropriate. Gov agency need not provide them a warrant. Be very careful with this banker!

The Capital One Savor card deal is a lot better. $250 bonus vs. $200 on this one. And just $500 spending requirement in 90 days vs. $1,000 on this. And 0% APR for 15 months vs. 12 months on this.
I've never been approved for any of the Capital One credit cards and my credit score has always been 800+. All the other credit card companies approve me with no questions asked. I can remember having 10 BOA Major league credit cards at once (different teams counted as different cards). I wish we could go back to the old days.

I have almost the opposite problem.... Capital One and other major credit card issuers have no problem approving my applications.

Bank of American has never approved me for anything. Not sure if it's because I've never done any business with them in my entire life? Frown

got approved 780 score, this is my 7th card for 12 months so was on border and 6th boa card and I'm their 15 yrs old customer. I still have their better balance card which gives good reward for small purchases like $100-$200, they stopped this card for new customers.

Also, linking to a clown such a biased terrible incompetent news network like FoxNews and Tucker Carlson should take things with a grain of salt. Nobody in their right mind can call FoxNews a "news" network. Its no wonder this country has issues, people are stupid enough to watch Fox News.

Are you the first person to notice FoxNews is biased towards the right? What a tool. We need both the right and left media to get a better picture of what's going on because both sides love ignoring stories detrimental to their causes. If you want to live in your idealistic bubble, only listen to one side of the story.
If instead you want to be constructive, by all means, do your own research and share your conclusions/experience with BAC.
