Apparently it only looks at BofA cards. Where as the Chase 5/24 rule looks at any credit card issued to you, regardless of which company issued it to you.
Edit: Adding the 7/12 and 3/12 rules for BofA higher up to this comment.
"7/12 and 3/12 rule"
"According to this rule, customers with a BofA deposit account will not be approved for new cards if they've opened seven cards (across all issuers) in the last 12 months, while customers without a BoA deposit account will be rejected if they've opened three or more cards in the last 12 months."

Thank you. I had no idea there were different variants. Any idea where to find them? I don't think I saw any on the BoA site.

Also, Google search for college/university and NFL, MSB, etc. sports-team-branded credit cards.

wondering if they would approve me.
Them closing the accounts dropped my score to 765 (the accounts were old and the limits were high)
If you contact them and promise to use it a lot they can reopen those accounts. Worth a try. Nothing to lose. My brother did this and they reopen his account.

12 months no interest, $200 cash back, and home improvement rewards. Sign me up!
It's actually 15 months of free interest
I was still able to get the opening bonus at the branch. I had to specifically ask for it and it took them a few minutes to figure out how to give it to me after they checked the bonus' availability online. Once I told them that I would just leave and apply online if they couldn't give me the $200, they miraculously found a way to make it work at the branch.
I stopped trying to apply their credit cards a while ago since they denied me about 3 times in 3 years. Their CS told me that it was because my credit was "new" to them. Many places mentioned that you would have a higher chance to get approved if you are already doing business with them or they would consider your application at all. F Bank of America

There doesn't seem to be any negative to doing this other than losing a 10% customer bonus (which I didn't have in the first place since I only have the two credit cards with them). It says it'll keep the same card number and there is no credit pull or anything like that. All I had to do to accept was click a button in the email... didn't even have to log in or anything! If you've got one of these and you haven't used the card in a while (my last purchase was last fall), you might want to be on the lookout for this.
