Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

It's unlocked, but you need to stay in fi for 90 days to get your $600 discount

I added a phone to my existing account and it says I just need to be active for 30 days. So its 30 days for existing customer ?
The terms say 90 days for existing customers. But this would be really awesome if its only 30 days. Would love to get a new phone for use - but don't want to give up my current phone for 3 months.

Can somebody else here who was already a Fi customer confirm this as well?

It was $499 for Samsung Galaxy S20 5G last week. Luckily they have not to ship so I canceled the order reorder with $399 price, a good deal. I also get a $20 referral credit from my brother, so one of the months is paid for.

So after the 90 days I'd be able to use this to upgrade a phone on my verizon account?

verizon s20 5g is a different variant. you may not use verizon 5g for google fi s20, i guess. 4g should work.

Potentially dumb question, but do I need to use this phone on the line that I port in, or can I swap it over to another SIM and keep the Fi line active but on a different phone?

This is not a firm answer to your question, but I'm not going to risk messing around with this and losing the $600 credit, even if someone tells me that I can (unless it's a Google Fi employee who tells me so in writing).

If you really want to do this, my recommendation is to get a Google Fi customer service rep to tell you that you can so you have recourse if something doesn't go as planned.

Can I use this right away on T-Mobile but keep the Google Fi account active for 90 days on another phone? What is the cheapest Fi plan?

People who have experience with previous Fi promos will say that as long as the FI SIM never touches any other phone, you will be OK.

In reality, Fi won't even know if your S20 is sitting in a drawer out of battery, or being used on T-Mobile.

Easiest way is porting google voice number.
Hi there, I just chatted with Google Fi Support, and they told me that I would not get the discount by porting google voice number. Have anyone tried to do that? The representative mentioned that Google Voice # is a part of Google Fi, and I would not be eligible for the promotion.
