Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

It's unlocked, but you need to stay in fi for 90 days to get your $600 discount

Potentially dumb question, but do I need to use this phone on the line that I port in, or can I swap it over to another SIM and keep the Fi line active but on a different phone?
When I bought phone on promo with FI last time the FI app tracked if I was using the phone on same Fi number if I switched then it did not count those days towards the promo period

now in my case I only had one Fi line but if you have two Fi lines and if you swap devices between two Fi lines then my guess is that the Fi app will tell you if its ok or not
just look under the promotions section in the app

Did you get that LG for $1? That was a nice deal back then. Trick is if you know someone who has those phones, maybe if they can let you use their imei number. Then just activate the sim online and pop it in your LG.
Yep, it's the $1 LG, got 4 of them at the time.

My friend might have on old iPhone 7, but I won't have physical access to it. If the phone is not needed and just imei for activation, then I can try that

I assume I can bring it to another carrier after the three months while still paying off the phone?

Please list all cheap and easy ways to port-in new phone number that I do not have. And what are the associated fees with buying a SIM card? Do I have to pay for the first month on one of other services?
Buy a phone number from numberbarn.com. Why not pick from a set of all available numbers for a given area code, rather than be assigned one you don't like. Maybe you'll end up using the new number instead :-) That's what I did.

Crazy to me there aren't more services like this so people can realign their phone number with where they currently live.

This service is designed for parking numbers and holding them before they are ported away.

Still back and forth considering this deal. No dual sim is a real bummer, but its smaller size and microSD are 2 very nice features.
I wonder if I should jump on this or wait for the rumored Oneplus 9E to come out, and hope that would be a small phone?

This is a tempting interesting deal. Two things kind of bothers me.

1) Subpar battery life.... One day battery life isn't good enough for me anymore. With my 2 current phones, I get 2-3 days on one charge.

2) You can either choose 1080p with 120hz OR quad HD with 60hz.... I don't believe quad HD is a must. You can't use quad HD with 120hz at all. Also 120hz takes a big hit on the battery. With the phone, it does give you the option to shut off quad HD and/or 120hz though so that is a good option if you value battery life.

Outside of those concerns, this phone hits the marks and is at a good value.

Regarding battery life - if your phone is a year or more old, then your battery is probably degraded enough to be equal to the S20's new battery.

Samsung Galaxy A71 5G is giving me 2 days battery life. It has a 6.7" screen too. The Samsung Galaxy S20 5G is the better phone but I do appreciate the large screen and solid battery.

The Moto G Stylus (6.4" screen) is 2 days battery life as well (3 with a light user). The Moto G Power is 3 days (4 days with a light user)...... Awesome battery life.

"remain active on Google Fi for 90 consecutive days." - Is that the plan remain active or the phone remain active? Is it true the Fi App tracks your usage?

Both. You must have the phone and plan active. I currently have a $49 google fi moto g power with 40 days left..... Traded in a iphone 6s (32gb) for $267 (awesome trade-in). If I had another iphone 6s with that awesome trade-in, I would do this Samsung deal in a second. Too bad the trade-ins are as good as the November deals.

Not really... I heard reviews talking about the screen time and it was disappointing. A battery doesn't have huge degrade after only a year. The quad HD, powerful processor, small battery and 120hz hurts battery life.
