Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

I got 4a 5g too last promo. 15 days left I traded in s8 as well.
Anyway can I get this if I add another line to my existing fi account? With no port. Or do I need to activate on the exisiting number?
You can add another line and for that you would need to port a number as well, or cheaper way would be to order the phone now and wait 15 days to activate it once the promo finishes.

Easiest way is porting google voice number.
Fi support specifically told me that porting a Google Voice number was not eligible for these types of promotions. It must be an existing carrier number that is ported in. I was looking to do that with the Pixel 4a 5G.

What about being customer before Jan 5th 2020 . Is that a typo or you really need to be customer at least one year?

They told me its eligible and it's allowed my GV number while adding to the cart.

I wouldn't risk it. Porting from google voice is one of the gray areas of these google fi deals. I got a pre paid $10 number just to be safe. Number barn gives you port out numbers for $7.

I noticed the January 5th 2020 date as well and brought it up a couple days ago in this thread. When I go to my Google fi account and add it, it tries to charge me the $399 on my credit card so I think it is a typo but I never did hit the confirmation order button... Any existing Google fi customer should contact Google fi customer rep to be 100% sure. The problem with Google fi customer service is that they are horrible and clueless from my experience with them.... I got much better customer service from tracfone, t-mobile and redpocket.

I have not had to contact t-mobile customer service but tracfone and redpocket have fairly clueless reps. So if Fi support is worse than those that is pretty damning.

With T-Mobile, I had to talk to a couple different reps but I got my phone unlocked. With tracfone, I have a couple phones with their plans and I wanted to swap carrier tracfone sims and also add ebay plans. It was so easy to do with their reps. Very quick process and they are friendly. Been with redpocket for like a decade and I only needed to contact them twice. Once with setting up my cousin's red pocket account where the port took longer than expected but it was done. Another time was with the red pocket ebay where they easily refunded me for a redpocket sprint plan that wasn't working.

With google fi, they lied to me 3 times and their response email is too long of wait to get back to me. I was a lucky one with their hyla trade-in where many others were being denied and were given like $2 for the phone trade-in. The Google Fi deals are still great deals though and worth the risk of shoddy customer service. If the phone price is awesone, I am willing to jump through some hoops.

I ordered this phone deal a couple of days ago. Amazing deal and here are a couple of tips.

For those of you wondering how the activation works, you have 30 days to activate the phone after you receive it. Right now the phone is set to ship and be delivered at the end of January. My billing cycle with T-Mobile ends February 6th (to find out your billing cycle go to the billing area and download the actual full bills PDF file, you won't find this information anywhere else on their site).

Another tip, if you have a Wells Fargo card credit card. Pay for the phone in full as well as the phone bill with your Wells Fargo CC (I have the "Cash Wise" Visa) and you will receive $600 worth of protection so you don't have to pay the $9/mo insurance if you were planning on doing so.

Can't wait to get this phone.. I've been on Pixels the last few years (A few Samsungs before that, and then a couple Nexus's before that).. I just water damaged my Pixel 4 XL 128GB and have had to go back to my 2XL 64GB backup phone.. And man, I can't wait to get a phone with more storage and MUCH FASTER storage.. UFS 3.0 is a game changer (such a shame that Google cheaped out on storage yet again on the Pixel 5), plus the 12GB Ram and Snapdragon 865. I've also read very good things about the new Android 11 One UI 3.0 improvements... Cannot wait for this phone!

Upgraded from a Pixel 3 to the S20 and... all of this. Huge upgrade. Especially the extra RAM and massively increased storage speed. One UI 3.0 is great too and includes significant camera improvements.

Just stay away from the company that doesn't honor rebates. I got played by them. Looking to join a lawsuit. Wonder if somebody knows about that?
