The diff between 12GB and 8GB ram is going to be meaningless in day to day use even with heavy multitasking. The 888 CPU is however going to benefit everything the phone does.
On the other hand, it isn't like we are comparing a slow CPU to a fast one. We are comparing two high performing CPUs. Yes, the S21 CPU is faster but not enough that it makes up for the loss of RAM in my case.
Plus, for me, the microsd card is essential.
That being said, my needs could be totally different from yours and for you the faster CPU could be more valuable. I am just saying it isn't universally true that a faster CPU is worth trading an SD card slot and 4GB of RAM for.
Existing Fi customer needs to be careful. You must have been active on Fi on or before January 5th, 2020. It's 2020, not 2021. I confirmed it with the Google Fi customer representative that it was not a typo.
If you have been on Fi after January 5th, 2020, you can either register a NEW Google Fi account with a new email address and porting in a new number, or Add a person to your Fi plan, providing a new email address and porting in a new number as well. On the Googe Fi main page > Shop > "Save up to $625 on select phones, Add a person". Either way, you need both a new email address and a new number for port-in to qualify for this $600 off discount.
Another cheap way to get a new number for port-in. You can add a new line to your current post-pay family plan and port the line out on the same day. I did it with my T-mobile grandfather family plan and confirmed it with the Tmobile customer representative that I wouldn't be charged for this new line if I ported it out on the same day.
Thanks a lot for all the information and the referral code I got from SD. Please PM me if you need one.

In November trade in value for s8 was $350.
I think t mobile gives $400 for S8.
In short keep it there will be a better trade in deal sooner or later.
Anyone seeing the same or did you folks get one in your package

Will the S20 bought thru this deal work on Verizon networks (1x, 3g, LTE)? Could care less about 5G atm.
If in 3 months I can take the base S20 over to Verizon I'm totally doing this deal.

Activated and the port took like 1 minute.
In my account, it says "27 days to activate" - yet promo said 30 days after the device is received. Oh well, I already activated it, it's not really a concern.
EDIT: Promo details says 30 days from the shipment confirmation email. So I guess 27 days makes sense.
