Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

It's unlocked, but you need to stay in fi for 90 days to get your $600 discount

how did you activate it on existing account? I have one line already, when I tried to add a new line, it asked me disable the existing line and move number to new phone. Can't find how I can have 2 lines under one google account.
you have to use the sim that came with phone and log into Fi application and it asks to transfer the account, it de activates the old one and transfers to new one. This is to transfer existing one. For new line I am not sure.

Any advice on whether I should exchange my Note 20 5G for S21 5G? I don't use the phone's camera or stylus often.
Note20 and S21 has almost the same specs, except S21 processor in newer but battery is a little smaller.

If you can live with a smaller screen, I would trade for the following reasons:

1. Newer processor
2. Gorilla Glass Victus display
3. At least one more major OS upgrade
4. Besides paying for new screen protector and case, and tax, there is no cost and with Samsung credit, it might be actually a money maker.

So, do you need to keep this phone active for 90 days, or the line active for 90 days but could move this sim to another phone, and use the s20 on another provider?

Thanks for the info! May I know which accessories you'd recommend getting, apart from a cover? Do you like the S-View cover?

From what I've read: do NOT move the sim to another phone. Once Fi recognizes that you're not using the S20, you'll get charged for the $600 discount.

Once you activate the phone, you can take out the FI SIM and use another SIM with the S20. I would just let the Fi sim sit until the 90 days past.

I am not a fan of flip / folio cases but that's me. If you are talking about getting stuff using the Samsung credit, I would get a wireless charger, may be two - one for home and one for work. If you listen to music, may be wireless buds. Besides that - may be a smartwatch if there's good deal.

Probably a good idea to uninstall the Fi app and reset the device prior to inserting the non-Fi SIM just to make sure the app is not giving your secret to Fi.

Good point. I'm not using my main Google account for this, so I would've reset anyway. But you're right, once it's activated, do a reset before using the phone with another sim. Don't want a $600 surprise a few months later :-)

So you are an existing user and transferred your line from a different phone to the S20? How long have you been a Fi customer?

Can you take a screenshot of the promotions page for your s20: Billings > Fi Savings > In Progress tab > select $600 off Samsung S20

Did you try both?
I tried both IMEI in XM's BYOD website. I think what happened is Xfinity use Verizon network, and S20 lack Verizon 5G band, that is why XM|Verizon has a separate S20 UW model(8GB/no sd-card/but support 5G). Just wondering anyone has insert XM sim to FI's S20, at least 4GLTE works is good, otherwise needs to return it.

Yep, I had the same experience, however I haven't tried with putting the Xfinity Sim in the phone.

But before that I had been using my S8 on Xfinity in a similar manner, where the phones I got from Xfinity were the initial $1 LG phones and then used the Sim from them on an S6 and then on S8, similarly for the other line used the Sim on an iPhone 7 with no issues.

So I am hoping this wont be any different. I am on the old $12 per GB plan which doesn't support 5G and I don't care for 5G as well, so that's not an issues to me

It is installed on phone. Look at the camera hole. It is a thin protector but punch on camera hole is visible.
Nope, nothing on my phone. The front and rear of the phone is devoid of any protector or plastic wraps which i found to be odd.

It didn't even ship with protective plastic on it? I don't think that is normal.
