Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

It's unlocked, but you need to stay in fi for 90 days to get your $600 discount

Here is what I did:
1. Activated the phone on 1/12. Made a few calls and sent some texts. Did a master reset and used my Tmobile SIM.
2. Every Few days I would pop in my FI Sim and make a few calls and texts.
3. Kept an eye on the countdown. After 90 days were done the promo moved to earned. I ported the number out on day 91.
Do you know where I can get my port out info - account number and pin?
Thanks

When you say the promo was moved to earned, is there actually a page that shows "earned"? Or you're just talking about the tracker showing complete? I can't seem to find the page where it tells me I have successfully "earned" the promo..

So my time is up, has moved over to earned. Now I just cancel fi and can put my sim in the phone, so looks like general thought is to factory reset the phone then put in my main sim. Now I don't have to port out the number since I don't plan on using the number correct?

I activated the phone on 01/19, then canceled 04/19, 90 days after. They are now disputing it saying I did not meet the terms.

I responded back telling them to Google "What is 90 consecutive days from 01/19/2021" and sent them a screenshot of the result...(It says 04/19/2021). Pending response ...

TBH, I wasn't even counting it to the day, it was just dumb luck I saw 3 bills and canceled on the exact day 🙄🤫
Based on their app they move the promo over to earned on 91th day. I activated on 1/28 and the promo got moved over to 'earned' this morning, 4/29. Good luck with the dispute, for everyone else I encourage ppl to check the app and take a screenshot before porting / canceling.

Just cancelled my Fi account, letting my number go since it was a just a number I bought off numberbarn. Deciding if I should factory reset the phone or not before putting my verizon sim in it.

I didn't see a response to this but did you end up doing the above?
I'm curious because I'm in the same situation.

Edit: Nevermind. I didn't realize you replied just above. Did you end up factory resetting? It seems like that's what others have done.

Why the need for a factory reset to switch sims?

I find it useless to do that. Its literally your phone, why the need to reset? I didnt and once it was earned i swapped the sim with no problem
