They have a lifetime warranty, just checked on both home depot and ridgid website.

so basker is technically right, you only get a 3 yr warranty with all ridgid tools. LSA isn't a warranty it is a lifetime service agreement. with warranty you might get a new part, with LSA they normally refurbish and return. Batteries i believe they still replace.

i wish ridgid had dual power models. They have one 18v model that is $280 all the rest are corded.
build a charger in so when you are plugged in and vac'ing you are keeping the batteries charged.

for reals since when did emerson / ridgid vacs not have lifetime warranties?. I bought a 12 year old 18v vac off craigslist and they still sent me a replacement hose! for no receipt! so I'm not sure where you got this idea from that the warranty is only 3 years

Wet/Dry Vac Warranty

What is the lifetime warranty of the vac?

The lifetime warranty of the vac is against defect in workmanship and material. Failures due to misuse, abuse and normal wear and tear are not covered by warranty.

What does lifetime warranty mean?

Lifetime warranty lasts for the lifetime of your vac. The vacs are designed to have a minimum run life of 500-700 hours which equates to many years of normal usage in a household environment. The warranty coverage ends when the product becomes unusable for reasons other than defects in workmanship or material.

That kit [homedepot.com] includes batteries and charger for $269, but if you already have batteries and charger, you can get the vac only for $109 [homedepot.com].

Apparently, it does not run long, or well on lower capacity batteries. Even dual 3a octains get you about 20 minutes of vacing. The review I read said you want 6a or 9a batteries to have any useful run time.

If I was making the perfect vac I'd build in a charger, and dual power source ability.
