I am not a vacuum connoisseur, but I got this same kit for Black Friday and used it a couple days ago for the first time to clean my vehicle. It did excellent. The hose was plenty long and flexible and the included accessories seemed nice. I don't think that the hose kit is worth the extra money on it's own, but bundled for this price it seems fair to me. We have a bunch of the large (12 gallon I think) Rigid vacuums at work and this one seems to have just as much power in a smaller package.

I see that others are saying this should only be $60 and while that would be very nice what are they comparing it to? I looked around for a while before I purchased this one and I didn't find anything comparable for that price especially considering the car cleaning kit.

I was going to get a Ridgid shop vac but in the past month I built outa Ryobi power tool kit and went with their 6 gal wireless shop vac kit from Direct Tools Outlet for $96. Good deal! I originally wanted the maximum 2.5" diameter hose but 1-7/8" is a sacrifice I'm willing to make for wireless portability!

I actually have had the Ryobi for several years now and plan to replace it with one of these Rigids.

The reality of using the Ryobi is that it simply doesn't have enough suction to do things like auto detailing. After vacuuming out my cars and trucks probably 20-30 times with the Ryobi and missing about three quarters of the debris on first passes, I've had enough.

Oh damn... I just bought a car from Copart that'll definitely need some cleaning. I was under the impression the 6 gal Ryobi wasn't underpowered. Guess I could always sell for the price I paid, easily

Considering a lot come in at under 1.5", 1-7/8" isn't too bad but I'll see if it's necessary to upgrade

edit: this ridgid kit is also 1-7/8" lol.... may want to wait for the 10-12gal with 2.5" hose for $60 but this accessory kit is nice

How's the suction? How is it as a dust collector hooked up to tools? Have you compared the suction to a plug in shop vac?

It just shipped out the other day so I haven't used it yet. Reviews on YouTube seem pretty good though!
