Mine had the warranty expired. I filed a ticket to hopefully update the warranty. I'm not sure how someone bought this a year ago yet somehow best buy is selling it now.

It was probably a floor unit like mine that was expired. Lenovo just gave me a 365 warranty regardless. Looks flawless so can't complain.

I'm looking for something that has a tablet form but is more powerful than the Samsung tab 7+ android device. How does this compare with the Microsoft surface Pro 7?

This doesn't "have a tablet" per se. It's more of a laptop that can turn into a tablet when needed, but if you are looking for tablet as a primary usage you will be better off with the surface (windows) or samsung (android).

I bought this thinking I'd use it as a tablet but I just found the laptop form factor to be the best for web surfing, etc... I also love using as a tablet for media consumption in tent mode.

Mine came with the docked pen but also a Lenovo Active Pen 2 in the box. I don't think the active pens come with most of them. I looked them up they cost $80.

I got mine in perfect condition with the pen and the charger, but without the original box. Check the battery status. 0 count but standby time is like 800 hours. I think is the display unit. 2 month warranty is left. I just fill out the request to extend the warranty after reading all the comments. Hopefully Lenovo honor the 1 year warranty.

Have. A lenovo yoga 6, 13.3 amd ryzen 5 for the same price but 8gb ram/256HD.. The battery is really good on those. Is this a better swap for the additional ram and old gen cpu if lenovo resets the warranty to 1 yr.
Suggestions.

Also got a dell 7306, i5-11th gen 8gb/512HD but then OS crashes with minor use and system diagnostic is not showing any issues with it. Debating to return that or the above lenovo and get this instaed. Paid nealy 530 each open box excellent for both on prior sales.

Bought open box fair condition. No box, pen. Charger is from an HP envy, power cable is from a dell Smilie
Some tiny scratches on the lid. But otherwise is great condition. Submitted a ticket to lenovo to get warranty

Thank you. Let me try. However I already purchased HP envy 13.3 with high end specs. I'm not getting which is better model
The HP Envy line is very nice. They have 400 nit full sRGB screens. I have an 8565U/MX250 one and its a well built laptop.

The C940 (now 9i) will have a near identical screen. Build quality though should be just a little bit better.... more comparable to the HP Spectre which is a step up from the Envy line. As an example, the Envy mouse pad is fine...but not great. The keyboard is very solid, but also not 'the best'.

Memory and SSD size factors in for overall price, so it really does depend on your priorities. All else equal, the C940 should be a little nicer than the Envy.

The Dell 7000 series will have a 300 nit screen vs the 940's 400 nit. Its always nicer to have more brightness. However, I would highly prefer 11th gen Intel over 10th gen. The iGPU improvement is considerable.

Again, keep whatever laptop provides more important features to you.

Thank u for your insight, the Dell is acting up weird since first day. Just opening up edge on brand new laptop is crashing the the whole operating system. This happens multiple times. When I run dell diagnostic it says checking and completely crashes and restarts. Had to reinstall os from scratch same issue after 1 week of use. Have not installed a single program yet.

Yes. Just tell them BB told you to tell them to use the purchase date. You have to submit a copy of receipt too. There is a dispute warranty on their support page so used that. Took like 3 -5 days.

Got open box C940 back in mid Dec($599 less other discounts at the time), got warranty reset by lenovo in a day or so , had a Yoga 6 Ryzen model which I really liked but this C940 is a much more of a premium laptop I returned the Yoga 6 and loving this perfect C940.
