I got the a8g it's 2019 edition for 1500 and it looks way better than the LG. In the same room same everything.
Oh your talking about the 85inch? I was talking about 65 for 970. Yea for some reason prices are higher now then October/Black Friday. But it's definitely worth the money. I would go for it over 65 inch LG any day if you have the room for same price.
Looks like the European models got the update.
Although I couldn't find any other info on it
Should be lots of open boxes becoming available soon as Sony Will no longer update this model with Vrr as promised

No issues, your problem would be more reflections etc
How do you go about getting one open box?
When the new model is out they will sell the display or sometimes they have a open box from a return on the floors. It was still $1500 but 65 inch OLED also had a higher msrp. Every new model has been cheaper and cheaper.
Ok awesome thanks for the info!

Been using the x900h with series X and I only notice the blurring issue if on vivid, but then again it also shows up on fast paced videos. The blurring is noticeable on certain games where there is lots of movement.
In game mode I don't notice any blurring but the screen is darker. It's like in between standard and cinema mode brightness. I'm usually gaming in daytime so vivid helps.
The Android OS is pretty good, snappy enough for me. Sometimes it doesn't wake up from sleep mode so i have to unplug and replug the power cable to fix it. Has happens about once a month.
I got it when it was on sale for 850 for 65" so I think it was a great deal.
If your room has lots of light/daytime viewing I would avoid this (or anything rated at <400nits SDR at rtings, even some oled are within this rating) and instead look at getting a q90t if it's within the realm of possibility. If you don't you will regret it.
Literally the best tv for off center viewing! 👍
For all- the offer website that's now blocked here has this way cheaper now if you aren't on the west coast. If you are on the west coast $2699 at Video only. Sadly they won't refund the difference for prior purchases.
Maybe I'm missing something but curious how replacing the frame will fix wonky glass? Thanks
