This is the wired version like Ring Pro so it uses image motion detection just like the Ring Pro. So it'll be very similar in terms of motion detection. You are probably thinking the battery version with PIR sensor.

Absolutely not. I owned the ring pro for 2 years and this for 1 and this is terrible at motion detection. Ring pro rarely missed a thing. Load time through the app is way faster with this.

Agreed, You need to set zones to where people will be walking otherwise yeah, false alarms. Ring is great at motion though even the low battery mode
