purchased a Sony 77in OLED just prior to Christmas for $1600 delivered
this is not a good deal or great brand. Like putting Kia in middle of your living room lol

It seems unlikely you actually got a new 77 inch Sony OLED for $1600. SD shows a thread for a Sony 65 inch OLED for that price in December. All OLED panels are made by LG (Kia according to you) so if you have a Sony you actually have a Kia in your living room too, just rebadged.

nah , give it some credit
it's a Genesis
I get my Sony sets from distribution hub. I've hooked up my whole house, parents, best friend with OLEDs now
Did u know LG has a patent on OLED. No one else can call it oled unless the panel is from LG. This includes iphones with Oled . So your Sony has a lg panel or its not oled. LOL
yes.i know that.
but the processing chip is far superior per rtings and It's a Sony.

I'm tempted. Was waiting for CES announcements to see what's in store. From the looks of it, the C1 has the following changes -
1. New video processing chip
2. New remote
3. New OS
Personally for me - The new remote is useless since we use harmony remote in my household anyway. And with NVidia Shield hooked up, I doubt I'll be using the in-built apps anyway. So the question is whether it is worth waiting for the C1 just for the new video processing chip.
The CX seems to have minor issues with VRR. The latest firmware update made it dimmer with VRR and HDR on. Still some debate on whether that's a bug that'll be fixed. So wondering if the upgraded C1 chip will iron out those 1st gen HDMI 2.1 wrinkles.

Had purchased 75in X940E in 2018 (when it was the flagship) for $1000 delivered

Ridiculous. LG has OLED patents but they do not own the term. Apple calls the panel OLED right here.
