Never in its existence was this trimmer 558. 300 is about going rate. Maybe small discount. Was cheaper a month ago.

Glad I got my ego power tools from HD and Lowes back in the day around/before covid. You can likely find open box deals where people used them for a job and then returned them. That's how I got the multihead system with edger, string trimmer and 5ah battery for $99 (should have purchased the hedge attachment for $50 but life is full of regrets)

If we are going down deal memory lane...

HD had a good $109 deal on the less powerful blower and string trimmer with 2.5ah battery (sold the trimmer and an old 2ah battery) and then Lowes before Brickseek lost inventory functionality a generator with four 5ah batteries was $300 (later that week other stores dropped it to $150's but inventory was crazy limited especiallythe 7.5ah bundle).

I missed out getting the chainsaw with 5ah battery as a guy purchased all 8 of them before I could get there for my 1 at a HD for $160 clearance)

I miss those 3am Walmart runs but thrills never last and once workers learned; they got to them first and purchased/hid them.

Ego 5 year warranty needs the receipt info.

Don't get the Line IQ model. I hear that it works for most people, but if you get one that doesn't work like I did, then the "solution" Ego will give you is to buy a new $50 head (the heads only have a 90-day warranty). I've been happy with my ego blower and chainsaw, so I finally threw the Line IQ trimmer in the trash and purchased a standard bump head Ego trimmer. Live and learn.

I also got bit by an extremely horrible Line IQ system and I would stay as far away from Line IQ as possible. That thing is the bane of my existence and was my first Ego product and might end up being my last.

I wouldn't give up - I have their 675 CFM leaf blower and a 21" mower, both EXCELLENT. I also have some version of their trimmer that I also really like. Overall more happy with my ego products than my worx.

Showing $359 now. So for all you saying "$299 is the normal price," well, it isn't.

$299 is the NORMAL SALE PRICE, with the extra 2.5ah battery. but after months at that price, the tRump tax will likely kick in.

The guy above called it the "going rate." OP cited a $329 sale price previously posted. I'm still not getting where $300 is the "normal sale price" for this. It's just odd that people can't just say — yeah, OP, this is a good deal, thanks. Instead, it's blah, blah, blah nothing special. And they're usually wrong.
