S21+ is a downgrade from S20+ in every category except larger battery. So why would anyone upgrade? Are we dumb or is Sammy crazy??

If you got the Buds Pro with your $250 credit, now is a good time to list them on ebay. There are a very few listed there and they are going for as high as $190

Within 2 weeks ebay will be flooded with those and you wont be able to get more than $150

Check this out for the recently sold Buds pro prices last sale was $190:

good comparison between snapdragon 888 vs 865.

After only 2 Antutu benchmarks, snapdragon 888 started to overheat and dimmed the screen

by the 6th benchmark the scores were almost the same (snapdragon 888 experienced 60K point drop due to thermal throttling).
Snapdragon 888 - 624K score and 58 oC temp !!
vs
Snapdragon 865 - 567K score and 48 oC temp

Also each benchmark made the 888 used 5% of the battery vs 865 used 3%
After 6 tests, the 888 battery was down to 65% and 865 battery was down to 85%, shocking!

not looking good, skipping my pre order..

You've lost your marbles. Those cheapie CN phones can't be compared to Samsung implementations of SD865 and SD888. Every CN phone needs a bag of salt with it. Almost got me though!

Can someone point me to the extra $100 off people were getting for T-Mobile variant? I just want to see proof of that. That would have put my net cost around $125 or so with S10+ trade in and I just don't believe it unless I see it! High five if you got that deal though! Please share proof haha

For S21 5G, I am seeping $799 price. I can see credit of $150 for buying accessories. I booked spot to preorder and was expecting additional discount on $799 ($50/$60) . Am I missing something? Accessories is what I am not interested and that credit is useless for me unless I have another Samsung phone purchase. Can someone confirm this price? Same for Ultra no discount.

It was offered just like it currently is listed for Verizon/AT&T/Sprint models. I purchased it this way.

PRICE: $349.99 $̶9̶9̶9̶.99

I traded in a S20 FE for $550. The $100 difference was for buying T-mobile model but I wouldn't expect any price matching to be honest. The only thing I'm not sure of is if you could buy the Sprint Model and just use your T-mobile sim.

Just put your phone bill on wells Fargo credit card that's all you need. Covered for any damage.
Why do more people not know about this? I just cashed a check for $192 to cover an iPhone screen repair that I got done at an apple store. Cost me $25.

I even have both wells fargo and barclays card. If I ever have 2 claims in a 12 month period, I switch cards.

Yet, people are paying carriers or insurance companies $5 or $10 per month per phone for insurance.

Sure, if you have that card. Very few cards offer that benefit.
No annual fee cards. If your credit is ok, get one and just use it to pay your cell phone bill.

Its comical that people are on here finding ways to cry about how Samsung was able to DECREASE the price of their newest flagship models while still installing the most expensive Qualcomm 800 series chip to date.
There are $500-$600 Chinese phones that have been announced with the same 888 SoC, same amount of ram, storage, amoled 1080p, etc. Obviously camera quality wont be as good, neither will software or support. So its not like Samsung made miracles happen. Also people seem to forget that less than 5 years ago 'flagship killers' from ZTE, OnePlus, etc were $400-$500 phones with the same flagships specs, but again, worse cameras.

If it werent for trade-in values and accessory credits the S21 series would an absolute AWFUL deal regardless of its cheaper prices.

Not necessarily pre orders. In the past Samsung has sent out addon items earlier than the phone. I have had this happen multiple times in earlier preorders. And if check the ebay posts people have listed pre orders as well.

BTW I ordered Buds Pro from Amazon and mine are getting delivered tomorrow. So they have already released, its just Samsung which has listed the date as Jan 27th.

The accessories credit for S21 is $100. . .if you are seeing $150 that is the $100 + the $50 bonus for "reserving"
If you do it from the app you will see the extra $10

The bonus $50/$60 was for accessories or watches/tablets etc, not for discount on phones

I guess they don't advertise that benefit widely enough. Their claim process is very simple. I did a claim on S10 last year for broken screen and just paid $25 deductible. Very seamless process overall.
