To answer some of the many questions about the low trade-in value shown. I have done this sorts of trade-in with T-Mobile before, It's a 2 part deal, It doesn't show the full $800 amount, THAT'S NORMAL.

PART 1.The official trade-in value you see during the process is less than the $800 offer, because that's the trade-in value that Assurant (the phone goes to them not directly to T-Mobile,) pays for said phone. The Trade-In "agreement" is for the Assurant value amount.

PART 2. Once Assurant has received, assessed and accepted the trade-in, T-Mobile adds the difference in the form of bill credits to total the amount of the Promo.
So it shows Trade-In value $80, yes, that's what Assurant will be paying for the phone. T-Mobile will add $720 to that and spread it all out in credits for a 24 months term. A couple of days after submitting the trade-in, your account should show the promo in the EIP section. The promo name will be shown there and "Pending Trade-In".

Voila.

Awesome deal for my S9. Wonder if Costco comes up with rebate deal instead of this EIP deal. Prefer outright deal.

Same value as samsung for Note 10 plus? $550? No benefit of going directly with tmobile verse samsung?
Where do you see $800 on Samsung's web site? It show $550 for Phantom black $350 for the other 3 colors for me.

The inherent value shown on the website is BEFORE the promotional value, as every other T-Mobile promo before has been. You get the value listed on the site immediately to the account as a one time bill credit, then the remainder of the $800 (for example, $90 inherent then $710 remaining) would be spread out over the 24 month EIP.

Go through the preorder process.
I'm seeing a comment that amount is what you get up front, the balance will be over 24 months. Probably will need to call Tmobile to confirm.

I'm surprised to see the Pixel 4a "series" in the list for $800. That seems like a pretty good value trade-up!

The chart on the post shows S10 series as $800. Is that click and bait?

Edit:
Checked the link and it says Up To $800 off. The OP is misleading.
It told me $197 for my S10.

Wording is confusing since it says upto $800, but if they credit the remainder via 24 month credits that would be a great deal!
I think the wording up to $800 is due to the fact that there's 2 models of the phone - 128gb vs 256gb. The 128gb is $799 and the 256gb is $849 so I would guess that means you can get the 128gb phone "free" and be responsible the $50 difference of the 256gb after bill credits?

Attempted to upgrade online but got an error message saying the device isn't compatible with my current plan (which is Select Choice Unl TT+D 20).
I get the same thing. I'll have to call and find out what the deal is.

Want to trade in your old device? You could get up to $198.00.
When you get your new device, send us the old one in good condition and we'll give you up to $198.00 credit on your bill.

This is the message I got for my S10 plus. That doesn't make any since.
Click the link above the phone you want to buy that says how to get this phone free or something. It's explained there. T-Mobile will then create a payment plan for you for $800+tax/24 = approx $36, but then you'll get a $198 bill credit and then a credit for ($800-$198)/24=$25.08 for the next 24 months. So you'll pay $11/mo for the phone for 24 months, but you'll have received a $198 bill credit already. Net is taxes on $800.
