To answer some of the many questions about the low trade-in value shown. I have done this sorts of trade-in with T-Mobile before, It's a 2 part deal, It doesn't show the full $800 amount, THAT'S NORMAL.

PART 1.The official trade-in value you see during the process is less than the $800 offer, because that's the trade-in value that Assurant (the phone goes to them not directly to T-Mobile,) pays for said phone. The Trade-In "agreement" is for the Assurant value amount.

PART 2. Once Assurant has received, assessed and accepted the trade-in, T-Mobile adds the difference in the form of bill credits to total the amount of the Promo.
So it shows Trade-In value $80, yes, that's what Assurant will be paying for the phone. T-Mobile will add $720 to that and spread it all out in credits for a 24 months term. A couple of days after submitting the trade-in, your account should show the promo in the EIP section. The promo name will be shown there and "Pending Trade-In".

Voila.

Awesome deal for my S9. Wonder if Costco comes up with rebate deal instead of this EIP deal. Prefer outright deal.

I have explained very nicely in several other responses here. Many others know this as well about PossumLodge. You can check his history and prior "contributions".
I also don't understand why the same questions keeps getting asked over and over. This is the way T-Mobile works. They give you the estimated trade in value and then the rest are in bill credits. you will not see these when you checkout, they show up later in your account automatically. Someone really needs to post this in big, bold letters on the 1st page so people stop getting confused.

I tried trading in my phone in store, but their system doesn't allow it for this pre-order, so still have to ship it in later.

Also, prevent those who feed the frenzy 😉

Next time someone asks, quote "The Mandalorian" - This is the way!!!

It won't matter. They'll still get confused. It's like a hobby for some people.

Me too, got the Pixel 4a 5G for free with the free line back in beginning of December and I don't see the Pixel getting a trade in value like this again except for maybe another Pixel when it comes out. The S21 will have better trade in values down the road so it's a no brainer.

I'm getting $17 for my pixel 2 XL. Am I wrong in thinking I'd get the $200?

I wonder if it's possible that after you receive your S21 in the mail, you can drop off your phone at a Store so they can evaluate right away instead of mailing it in.

I have a Note 9 I want to trade in, and I'm interested in the S21 Ultra..

- T-Mobile is offering $800 for for it = pay $400+, but 24 month EIP..
- Samsung is offering $350 trade-in + $100 T-Mobile Discount = pay $712.49+, but get $250 to spend on accessories and 10% CB..

I think the price comes out almost the same at the end, just a matter of EIP versus paying upfront?
Where is the 10%CB found for this deal with Samsung?

The regular S21 is almost a downgrade from the S20 FE.
Yea I agree also. For some reason this is a side phone to the s20 series. Not even an upgrade until you hit the ultra

You will get $800 credit, just not all of it right away.
Thanks for explaining it again and again but yeah without writing it's sketchy lol.

I just called a tmobile rep and they verified your info but just to be clear, even the docusign paper doesn't verify the $800 credit. It also didn't register for you when you did your deal back then? Thanks again bro hug
