What's considered their best or top of the line rice cooker?

I am also curious about this. They have so many models, it was hard for me to figure this out.

Looks like this one has the 2 level bottom(heating plate) I don't think it can be removed and can't be cleaned properly. But cuckoo is the only one that has voice guide which can be a huge help to the visually impaired(I'm glad people like sol740 aren't). I have the induction version which doesn't have the heating plate, but it wasn't cheap.

Based on what I know about cooking rice, you do not need AI for that. For porridge, you're better off getting a separate crock pot. At least, the inner bowl is stainless steel instead of the typical cancer causing non-stick ones.

I do not know which model is the absolute top model but if you're looking for a high end Cuckoo, I'd look for something that has all of these features:
  • Induction Heating
  • Pressure Cooking
  • X Wall Coated Pot
  • Full Stainless Interior
CRP-LHTR0609F is one of their newest high end product.

It really depends what kind of rice you cook, other items you'd use this for, how often you cook rice, and of course, how much (how many ppl you're feeding).

These high end ones do not go on sale too often. Cuckoo is comparable to Zojirushi and Tiger.

This is a mid-upper tier model that fits everything I'd like a rice cooker to do. If you're only cooking basic white rice once a month or even once a week, I would not recommend this.

What would you recommend for white rice every other day for a house of 4 people?

I actually prefer brown or wild rice which are require longer cooking times

I got the basic Tiger from Costco recently. It cooks great but the only downside is brown rice takes forever - like over an hour to cook. This Cuckoo has pressure cooking so that should go faster I reckon

You are indeed a Cuck if you pay this much for a rice cooker.
I cook my rice in a quality non stick saucepot. 1c, rice to 2 c. water, pat of butter to avoid sticking, if desired, 20 min. on low. Four cups of perfect rice. Every time.
. Never felt need for a rice cooker at any price let alone one over $100. Really?
I wouldn't even buy one at any discounted price because anyone can cook perfect rice following the above instructions! Hope this advice helps.

I tend to trust Asian brands more for rice cookers. If you're cooking it on the stove top (like another poster here) you aren't eating it often, or leave it in the cooker to keep warm for a day or two. These high end ones, you can leave it there for hours and it'll look and taste pretty much the same. That definitely cannot be done on a stovetop.

For you, I'd recommend getting a 5-6 cup size cooker.

Here's some good ones:
- Zojirushi Micom [zojirushi.com]
- Another Zojirushi Micom [surlatable.com] one. This is made in China though, so the quality might not be excellent.
- Tiger [nordstromrack.com]; I think this one is great for just white rice. It's 10-cup capacity though.
- Another great price one for Tiger brand [amazon.com]
- Cuckoo Micom [costco.com] from Costco

I wouldn't really suggest Cuckoo as their rice cookers are made to do multi-purpose things and have more bells and whistles you'd ever need.

If you're looking for something cheaper, this one by Aroma [amazon.com] is actually pretty decent. Aroma
