There's a washable pre-filter that catches dust bunnies and pet hair that needs cleaning every few weeks or so; takes five minutes to rinse and then we let it air dry. Coway branded filters run about $35-40 each (good for one year) but there are also generics available for cheaper. The cost of the Coway filter is low enough that we haven't tried generics yet.

I think these are regularly $250, and were as low as $150 on Black Friday so this seems to be a really good price

Yes, this is a fantastic price. If I didn't already have more than enough air purifiers from the $99 Costco Winix sales I would jump on this. We have this model and it's been running near 24/7 for four years in my kid's room.

I've been waiting on this to go on sale again, it was $200 for a while, then the last 2 weeks it was $250. This is the best price they've had.
