I went to the same corporate store and got 2 N10 and 2 N100 for $100. The guy tried to lie to me that I need pay $120 and set up auto pay to get the $100/4 lines deal and I said that was not correct. The guy just said "ohh, you know everything and you are like a boss" and proceeded with $100 cash.
I ported 2 numbers.

Funny thing: my friend went to the same exact store and the store not only said $120 with auto pay is required and that my friend could only get 2 N10 and 2 samsung A21, not 2 N100. My friend left with empty hands.
These stores are like shit.

Yes through the chat but no refund back so essentially still $120. So the $20 credit is useless since won't be using.
Yea I thought so too. Thank for letting me know

What state was this in? Remember 4 lines are like 100 and 120 with free amazon prime. THe plans are more before auto pay. Some states charge taxes on full price off free phones 2x N10 that $600 and 2x N100 are 360 assume tax of 10% on 960 is $96
This is not a state issue. Since metro is the "manufacturer" of the phone they are not reselling it. And if they sell it to you for $0, that's it. Authorized resellers are, you guessed it, resellers and they "buy" the phones from metro for "$300" and then they give you a "$300 discount". I'm not sure there's any state that doesn't charge tax on the pre-rebate/coupon/discount price. I used to work at a re-seller and, I'd like to think, not one of the average reseller scumbag moron that lie about everything they can.

Edit: I am of course incorrect, there are a few states that charge tax on even manufacturer rebates. But what I said above is usually the case.

You may jump on the visible deal again. Get a burner number on ebay, order visible sim, activate, then go to metro store. That number will ring, and you get another $100 from visible next month.
To which Visible deal do you refer? Thanks!

So what's the response to the salesperson that is adamant he can't do anything? I'm wondering if 4 of these phones are worth the $211 it would cost me.

5) They have to open all 4 phones, activate, discard the plastic screen protectors, so you will only be able to resale as used phones.

So for unopened boxes, no Metro SIM cards? No test calls? I guess neither is a big deal if you don't want them. Thanks for letting us know it is possible.
the metro sim cards are in the sealed box

I called an AD near me and she told me they were participating in the promo, but they had sold out of phones already, and expect a new shipment next week.

She said they will accept (and encourage) a "refundable deposit" for them to hold the phone when it comes back in stock. Does anyone have experience with this from an authorized dealer? Skimming through all the negative comments in this thread dealing with Metro customer service makes me wary of providing them with a deposit.

Thoughts?.....

That one above. Money maker by mouse clicking. Better than in store only deals.

so..eagerly waiting for feedback from the first person that does this.

2 free 5g phones is tempting !!

my understanding:
the reports are theta the 5g aspect will only work on tmobile.
but he phone it self will work on other carriers.

curious if 5g will work on sprint?
Do you have tmobile simcards then yes 5GB will wotk after you unlock phones N10 I believe cheapest option
is $50 per phone to have it unlocked.

Honestly, you screamed "do not sell me these phones". I think we all have to remember that Metro isn't in the business of just giving away free phones. There goal is to establish new customers and use the free phones as an incentive. So, when you go in the store, keep that in mind. If you go in with a list of 20 numbers, or don't seem like you use the numbers or jsut acquired them for this deal (tell them they are drawer phones or ask them "what if I bring a Ting or other number"), assume they will give you a very hard time. And that would be reasonable. Just be reasonable. You are walking out with four phones for ~120. Keep that in mind.
I don't know...first thing I did when I went to the store was I said I want to port two numbers with two new lines. I didn't ask for price until later because in all honesty, I didn't care if it was $100, $120 or hell even $200. The rep was pretty accommodating the whole time and I was just patiently waiting while he was doing his job.

I don't think he was unreasonable to ask for porting some numbers. Seems to me the reps that he was dealing with were more aware of these type of deals and didn't want to sell the phones easily.

Anybody know how long this deal will last? I heard it's until the 25th.
