This deal still live? Been putting off as I didn't want to drive across town to the CS, but might be headed that direction today anyway...

EDIT: See now activation fees are no longer waived. Ah well, no hurry.
Good point. I don't see it in the front page either.

On this page on the footer, its says activation is $20 per line: https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/shop/plans

Not sure yet. They said Monday for "next business day." So I'll check on Monday. Also, I heard two conflicting stories from different supervisors. It was like pulling teeth to get the refund though. Yes, they will push hard for bill credits. Had to go through 4 or 5 supervisors on multiple attempts.
Monday is President's Day...

The Motorola Ace 5G is definitely better than the OnePlus nord n10 5G. I am definitely gonna try to score that phone. Well worth the paying the extra $20.
Eh, it's actually more of a toss up. N10 Screen is 90hz with better colors. (I could not go back to a 60hz lcd after using the N10). 30w fast charging is not a feature I would give up now either. N10 Good looking build, ACE frosted silver build looks a bit cheap. N10 Cameras are perhaps a bit better. On the other hand, the ACE has a larger battery, a larger brighter screen, and its 750G chip is a little faster than the 690 in N10, so better gaming.

It should be possible, hopefully the 4 lines are not discounted phones (180 days limit as they say)

Details:

Switcher Instant Rebate: For a limited time at participating Metro by T-Mobile stores, purchase a Motorola One 5G ace and port-in an existing eligible wireless number to that phone and receive an instant $260 rebate off the full retail price with validation of name, address, and date of birth provided through independent database and presentation of matching identification. Excludes phone number currently active on the T-Mobile network or on Metro by T-Mobile in past 180 days. Limit two (2) total smartphone instant rebates per account/household. Provided in form of credit against regular purchase price at time of sale and have no cash value. See store associate for complete details. Sales tax not included and is collected in accordance with state and local laws. Certain restrictions apply. No rain checks. Offer available while supplies last.

General: $20 activation fee/line.

The $120 for 4 lines is a rip off, should be $100. I paid $120 instore myself and upgraded to the plan with tethering and amazon prime. Some contacted metro but were only offered $20 credit for next month, pretty much useless. Most people don't bother because $120 for 4 phones is good enough. For forced insurance, some were able to get refund. I personally don't think it is worth the time and trouble to fight for $20 refund. That's $5 per phone.
I wholeheartedly agree. Looking back, it was not worth it to get the refund(s). Because of the time spent on the phone. Unless, you are bored at home and want to practice your phone skillz. This is very YMMV; and there are a lot of No's before anyone says Yes.

Very grateful to OP for your useful tips bud.

I completely agree, they will lie to you and give you the run-around and blame the charges on something else (they told me it was sales tax at one point), it will take far more time than it's worth and most likely you still won't get that $20... at best you'll get a $20 credit on the next month's bill.

I was perfectly happy to pay $120, but in my case they added another $20 for insurance after I specifically told them I want no insurance and no extras, and set me up on a plan that was going to charge $140 every month. Just on principle I chose to fight them over that extra $20, of course it was a waste of time as I described.

I paid with my credit card so I called them up and told them about the issue and they put a chargeback for $20, I haven't heard anything back so I guess they just didn't dispute it.

I was also confirmed by cust care that 20$ will be credited back to my credit card instead of account credit.. but it never came.. I didn't do follow up as well, as I thought it may not be a easy task
You are better off request amazon prime for 1 free month, which is $12.99 value. It only took me 5 minutes with the customer service to enable that. Plus you also have 15 Gb tether for each of the phone.

Thanks, I am just going to switch to tmobile prepaid and keep the iphone 7.

Cricketwireless is $30/mo. vs. $15/mo for tmobile connect. I dont use more than 1gb of data per month
If you are going to use your iPhone 7 on T-Mo, note that this phone does not have T-Mo's bands 66 and 71 and those made a big difference for me in rural areas and supposedly improved signal penetration in buildings. The SE has both bands (and many more). In playing with the Nord N10 at a T-Mo corp store, I was disappointed with the speaker quality for talk and music. They apparently went cheap on the speakers and why I passed on it. I thought the Stylo 6 and Moto Stylus sounded much better.

Do you think I would get better reception on Tmo than Cricket Wireless?

By reception I assume you mean signal. Cricket (at&t towers) has the main bands that are on the iPhone 7. See the link below. I have a iPhone 6S (Verizon) unlocked and when using a Mint sim (t-mo), I don't have band 66 or 71 and my rural coverage is poor vs a phone with band 66/71. When using this phone on At&t (cricket, puretalk, etc) it has all of their main bands for excellent coverage. Look at the T-Mo maps to view these 66/71 areas.

Has anyone successfully network unlocked this phone? Saw a few listings on eby ant they're like 40-50 bucks and take 15-25 days.
Curious why its so expensive and so time consuming, i thought it was as simple as connecting to a server and getting a code. Worried those are scams

Anyone? any luck with speeding up the drawer unlock 6 month thing?
