The pin number on visible is only good for 7 days. I think your pin was expired so the port did not complete. I'd just let it die if its not your main number.
Thanks for the advice, instead of bring issue to another carrier, I just leave it there, it's not my main line.

Thank you !!
So just put another provider sim and it will Auto Unlock ? Do we need to prevent porting out to prevent any issue with unlock after 6 months ?

Maybe. There have been reports going either way.

The general consensus: why risk it?

But if you do port out, remember to report back.

Just an FYI if you are using this phone on a different Metro account (I opened it on a dummy account and let it lapse), to gift the phone to my father who was already on Metro. CS needs to close out the (dummy) account first, even if service hasn't been renewed/paid, before moving the phone to a different account (so make sure you remember the PIN and other info the phone was set up with. I forgot my PIN but she was able to send it to the phone, even though it no longer had active service).
Thanks for posting this!

I sold one of the phones, and the person couldn't activate it. So I closed the account completely down, and I think that'll resolve the issue.

Not sure if the N10 I'm keeping for myself will unlock now after 6 months...
