How does the Oneblade compare to the Arc5?

Awesome, got one - this appears to be a newer model than the current Arc5 I have. This actually shows the battery level.

I have had issues with my current one related to battery charge, it only lasts for about 20 minutes before it just drops from about 50-60% to 0% and shuts off.

Good deal. Got the same model from last BestBuy sale. How often do you need to replace the foil?

As someone who uses one of the 3 blade "regular" razors, is this a worthwhile switch?

I tend to only shave when I get itchy, mostly out of laziness. It "seems" like a razor like this would be less effort and maybe it could become daily.

I haven't used a blade in over a decade. I just shave with this (and before this the Braun 760cc) every morning, and it maybe takes two or three minutes. Heck, I didn't even shave with a blade for my wedding (probably should have done that, but ehh . . . this makes you lazy).

I find this takes way less time and you look way more professional than shaving with a blade every few days.

I'm that way as well.... I once pointed my Canon 4K pro camcorder 2 inches away from my face while I shaved... I watched the image on my 75-inch TV to make sure that I got everything.

I've often wondered if laser hair removal can make shaving obsolete..... Frown

I've looked into it! There are a lot of criteria (skin color, hair color, etc) that you have to meet for it to be effective and even with laser it's not permanent, it just makes there be "less" of it. It was super expensive when I looked at the costs so passed on even trying it. I also found electrolysis as a possible option, but haven't looked into that much at all (this is a permanent solution).

If you find a good solution, let me know - we're in the same boat Smilie

I absolutely love this shaver but I'm finally needing replacement blades and they are hard to find and expensive. Considering just buying a whole new one for the blades unless I can find them cheaper today..

This is a very good deal for an excellent shaver. I actually bought the other Arc5 version when it was on sale at this same price. I prefer that model slightly more for its more colorful battery status display and you can turn off the auto sensing feature. But otherwise they're identical.

Thanks for posting that. I currently have the ES-LV61, and purchased the ES-LV67 (the one in this post) when it was last on sale at Best Buy. I ended up returning it for the following reasons:
  • As you said, the auto sensing can't be disabled
  • The lock mechanism (for the head) didn't work well
  • The display was very primitive (no shave time, no exact percentage of battery remaining)
I'm now waiting for a deal on the ES-LV65. Even though it's an older model, it's closer to what I'm used to.

Also, for replacement foil and blades, you may want to consider the ES9036 instead of the ES9032: LINK [amazon.com]

The blades are the same, but the foils are different: LINK [shavercheck.com]

how long did it take for you to need replacement blades.

Bought for same price on black Friday, came from and old Braun 7. This thing works as talked about everywhere, but I still feel that, for my face hair, the Braun has more consistent shave. The Arc on the other hand seems to be very aggressive in some areas and much less so in others regardless of how much pressure adjustments I make.
Sorry to be less helpful, the deal is excellent from a price perspective, I was only sharing a personal experience. Looking into this more it probably has something to do with the auto sensing feature.
