Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

Any first-hand experiences unlocking via T-mobile?

Seeing comments on the ease of unlocking after booting on ATT SIM (via web) and Verizon SIM (cheap eBay means). How easy is T-mobile? TIA

Same issue, my store flat out said he had no idea how to sell a phone and they (the mobile people) handle all of that. Had no idea what WARP was or stood for. Said hes not allowed to sell phones without the mobile people at the store? What a waste of time Frown called a manager over but was told the same, had never heard of warp and said she couldnt sell phones? I asked her if I just wanted to buy a phone, no contract, could that be done. She said no, never, they must be sold with contracts and there was no way to sell them otherwise. When I responded saying that walmart.com clearly indicates you can buy a phone without contract, she said I'd have to ask the mobile people when they are at work then. -_-, so stupid. Tried 2 stores but same result. Sounds like if I dont get some electronics savant that feels like working I'm stuck. I reserved 1 at a nearby walmart to try again tomorrow, not holding my breath though.

True, I got 2 and there's more. He said he could only sell 2 per day. Probably BS also but I'll cancel Sprint and make sure I don't pay the activation fee. I believe in order to get a commission they plans have to be active for 30 days. I wouldn't believe everything everyone says I myself don't anyway. Mine is on Sprint so a Mint Mobile SIM works in it so guessing all T-Mobile and Sprint MVNOs will work. I need it for ATT though, ugh all I wanted was a 256 for myself but the store that has my reservation she claimed she knew nothing about it. B probably kept it for herself

If the website is not allowing reservation stating out of stock or not available, is that accurate? Is it worth making a trip to the store for people?

Have an XS with cracked screen have listed on CL if anyone needs one and wants to do the screen or use as is Works great!

Last week there was some kind of constitutional rights assembly in a city, and Google GPS and Waze blocked location. Apple didn't. So there's that

Has anyone had any luck in Houston, TX? I've been to over 7 Walmart's with absolutely no luck. Website shows all have no stock and therefore doesn't let me make any reservations. Tips would be much appreciated!
