Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

I was able to do this at my local Walmart and it worked great, besides taking a couple hours to process transactions. Important, if your Walmart is like mine they cannot do upgrades at the store, they told my since I reserved a couple with my Att info they could not process it because they can only sell phones outright. Just an FYI. Also I had to wait like others for the cell phone guy to get there, once I was checking out though the manager came back and said that she could have done that for me earlier butt was confused about the reservation. So if you reserve it and they look at you like your dumb just tell them you want to buy it outright. Then once they in the warp ask them to look up your last name and it should be there. Hope this helps!

so i checked inventory checked on walmart.com and it shows none available in my area..i used the in store reservation link: https://www.walmart.com/cp/walmar...ns/7592714 . My question is how accurate is the inventory info.? Did anyone found phone which showed unavailable online? TIA..

Depends but it should be unlockable if it's flex policy. Consensus seems to be that Verizon or AT&T are probably the best routes to takes for the latter. Sounds like it might be which vendor is in that store for whether it's truly unlocked or flex locked.

Just bought it according to this deal. Paid $199+tax OTD and was unlocked. And it was processed under ATT for whatever reason. Put in Verizon sim and it's good to go!

Its hard to say because yes the reservation system works but at the same time it can show its not available but it is available. Online it only showed me 64gb xs available but at the store they had a 256gb xs and a 512gb xs not shown available online but where in the cage.

Same here. One store in OKC has them in stock, but for $1,149 not $199. Still checking with others in the area. Does the Walmart employee have to do something special for the price to show up? He didn't actually pull a phone box out to scan it - just looked it up in their inventory

Yes, it will work with whatever carrier the first sim you put in. For the second sim, then it depends.

I guess if you reserve one, they cannot sell unless they cancel the reservation. Another individual showed up before me to clear out the store, the store could not sell the one reserved for me.
